Hahahaha absolute cracker re the new emblem of the Tiger ripping the head off the magpie.. I love it.. I've always been of the opinion that the magpie has no place on the jersey, the club is called WESTS Tigers, not Balmain Magpies? Guys if everyone is well and truly on the same page regarding the future of WT, then getting rid of the magpie would be a good start, people have to let go of the past(Balmain/magpies) crap.. it should be one team, one brand.

On the matter of ownership, hypothetically would the Wests group be willing to take over %100 of WT? I honestly don't know anything about this organisation, are they hardcore Wests magpies? True rugby league people? what's their motives in the joint venture? Would they be willing to put more $$ in the club? Realistically the status quo can not last. I would like to see sole ownership of the club with the owner having the best interests in the club.

Did you read the entire comment or did you stop at the rippining off the magpie head component? The current model is a failure, I couldn't care if HT or Wests take over WT, as long as they have the best interest in the club and have the money. Obviously you took the comment to heart, hence the personal attack, read the comment again and take your blinkers off, your lack of emotional intelligence is restricting you from concentrating on the core problem, which is the status quo, this is why we have public forums, to discuss topics we are passionate about. Anyway, if you don't appreciate freedom of speech then maybe you should sign up to some far right forum. Mate given the status quo those that are devisive are the ones who are emotionally tied to the past and won't let go and move on.. people who keep harping on about some magpie or who refer to WT as Balmain, or want to live and die by the current model at the expense of an holistic approach. Here's a little perspective,we are a joint venture that comprises two historical clubs…

The black and white of the great Magpies...The black and gold of the great Tigers..
Combined we are the great WESTS Tigers...a JV culminating into one club..

I wear the WTs jumpers to games and I was an avid Balmain boy,I cherish my signed by Wayne Pearce Balmain jumper as part of our HISTORY...
The Western Suburbs Magpies choose to wear their black and white regalia to games as support of their history but still scream and yell WTs at games...

Each and everyone has to adapt to the circumstances which surround us now,wearing historical gear to games doesn't fase me as I thoroughly enjoy the sea of Black and White and Black and Gold at each game I attend,it even makes me proud that the two sides of the JV stand side by side and cheer on the WESTS Tigers....this is what will eventually happen,the coming together of the two great clubs,supporting the one,WTs...If the diehard fanatics can't take this on board from either side of the JV,then it will only stem the flow of longevity that this club needs....
I'm not here to tell anyone what they can and can't do,however in my opinion if we are to move forward as a great club,the history of the two JV sides has to be left at that...History.... :slight_smile:
