Harry interested in buying Wests Tigers

Its in my interests that Balmain become financial again to continue within the JV.

I don"t mince my words and my way of moving forward with the Wests tigers is a equal 50-50 JV.
I need that link from the past to continue following them that is the only reason I started as a kid in the 70s.

If we continue with the NRL we could end up anywhere. Private ownership is problematic to me with a JV with two foundation clubs.
So Balmain must find a backer to survive for the greater good.

Harry can,

1) Sponsor them.

2) Buy Balmains share up the ante to say 5m a year and Wests will go along with that.

3) Take a seat on the board without any financial help.

4) Buy the club and allow Wests and Balmain to run it.

Which sporting body let alone a historic JV allow a no strings attached takeover?

As a side note.

Wests own massive land holdings subject to development for probable sale to the Chinese.

For us all it just means housing is all a rip off.

Anyway, why would Wests sell for say 5m. That's only 3 run down over priced houses in Ashfield and a permanent invisibility and exit from big time sport.

That's how I understood it as well when it happened… So my original point is Balmain can set a price to sell to either WA (first option) or a 3rd party.

The only legal path the NRL have to force Balmain to repay is through the courts. Balmain are also a club owned by its members, meaning the NRL would need to take a lawsuit out on them also (assuming no board appointee was stupid enough to sign a personal guarantee).

Outside of the license, the NRL have no other cards.

Hummph…I'm just about to give up...so I'll ask you a question...How will holding back the NRL licence for the WESTS Tigers a totally separate entity to the Balmain Football Club force Balmain to repay it's debt.?????????????

It won't… But they can't force a legal identity to withdraw from a partnership either unless they declare bankruptcy.

Pulling the license won't be about the debt, it will be about sustainable franchises.

The NRL can force Balmain to sell as it was agreed to by the Balmain Football Club as part of the bail out and restructure…

Oh no Harry don't buy WT.. Wests group owns half of Sydney, they have Billions, Balmain side have lost the plot, we just lost to Newcastle for the second time this season, we are getting 5000 people at the ground, Jason Taylor is our coach, Robbie Farah is on 6 million a year and can't throw a ball anymore, We are heading in the right direction at least, and that's out of Sydney, I'm sure Maria in the go will have you believe otherwise..

With lawyers and bankers being thick on the ground, at the NRL, I'd think that they would have all possibilities locked up well and truly watertight., before they handed even a dollar to Balmain .
No matter what happens , it won't change Wests position in the JV in the slightest. As well they have first option to buy Balmains share, . All that was made extremely clear when this whole thing started . We are all going round in circles. Put plainly , if Balmain can't pay next March they are gone, it won't affect Wests.

If you are pushing the Balmain or Western Suburbs wheelbarrow on here you are a dickhead either way IMO. Embrace the JV as its own entity or clear off, the club can do without 'supporters' who just wanna divide. It is pathetic to still have to stomach this crap after 16 years really.

Guys lets just Chill out….bp tiger does not give 2 hoots about Balmain or Wests , he is an avid Wests Tigers supporter . It was mean't to be a joke by bptiger and it was a joke.....as some Wests side of the Merger are stressing hard over there share of the merge cause of these Harry Triguboff talks .

We have gone through how many pages of just pure speculation ? Everyone Chill Wests will remain in the JV, it's more likely Balmain won't and Wests don't need to sell there share , let's liven up as it's all talk at this moment in time .
