I'm wondering if you've watched the video? Bloke in a Bar is something I've never watched before so has no bearing on my opinion.

In the interview Hastings presents as a grounded young man who understands he was a bit loose in his youth and has learnt from it.

I was interested to hear he went to a psychiatrist every week for 8 months which he said helped him enormously. That alone suggests he was keen to improve himself.

If he takes the same attitude to his football he will have won me over.

This is my ENTIRE point with the Brooks jibe above. You have PROVEN my point. Jackson Hastings has "won you over" with his *performance on the Bloke in a Bar interview*. Luke Brooks has lost the confidence of the majority in this forum on his *performance on the field.*

This is not criticism of you or anyone else. JTJ won ME over on a similar podcast.....then he took the field.

Yeah I mean we all know footy players aren't exactly linguistics professors but Hastings' message came across nonetheless and I was impressed by it

Another thing which came out of the interview was how structured the Roosters' defence is.

He said they have a rigid grid and have expectations of where players will be at any particular point. Eg if the attacking team is on the 30m line the half needs to be 27 metres from the sideline etc. Everyone was expected to know exactly where to be at any moment.

This was under Robinson so you can see they work very hard on defensive shapes. I expect structure but didn't expect it to be this precise.

And I’ll say one thing , If madden is the man told he is our 7 , then I will defend him with the same vigour. But I don’t think he’s there yet .
And I hate reading stupid comments , from clearly hoof heads with no idea , like you , because they can’t hack losing , and are scapegoating , so they can’t see the forest through the trees .

I hope Jackson ends up an honest performing Tiger doing his best for the club....
My money is on Madge and Hartigan recruiting what we need without spending huge amounts og money..

Im going to say one more thing about Hastings and that is...he was a star performer in his younger days at schoolboy level and then transitioning to u/18 u/20 and being contracted to NRL level,he had issues but the talent and ability was always there,he moved to England after his manager secured a contract for him there...his performances were brilliant and he has matured as a person,England was for him to refine his game and attitude...the WTs have done far worse recruiting over the years than Jackson and I think we can still see the best of him in our colours,if not than we are no better off than the highly paid players that have come and gone with still no finals appearances..

GOOD LUCK Jacko...I will have his name embroided on my WTs jumper if we make the finals in the 2 years he is with us...
