Hastings signed for 22/23 *Official.

Finally got to watch his game from the weekend and cannot believe people are questioning this signing.. He is the team general and organizes pretty much everything.
He is yelling at players to where they need to be, calling the shots in offence, touches the ball every set, kicking game is excellent, happy to run the ball himself, made some great tackles and just leading the team as a halfback should. All this with a sore ankle that he hurt early in the game.
If he maintains that in the NRL he will be our 7 without question and we will need to replace him at Lock if that's where he was brought for.
I am pretty excited to have him on board.

I was a bit on the fence about the signing but I do like the way he plays.

is he good next year?,he has always had mongrel in him,and seems 2 have now matured.

Though I think some of our young forwards are going to be a force, our halves would have to be dealing with one of our worst groups of outside backs. They have some handy skills and all but there's no pushing up in support for defence and attack. But I do realise they are also sometimes at fault for not getting us on the front foot or the ball out to them. Its a little catch22.

On Hastings, people have positively referred to his kicking game and creative (off the cuff) play, so for a game that demands field position and regaining/creating momentum when it's lost IDC how unpopular or lowly rated he is as long as he is capable of fulfilling his job for the team. Whether that's in a utility role or not.
He seems confident enough in wanting to take his game to the next level so I can only welcome him as I think these are the type of players we need, he might not go on and light the NRL stage up but he sounds determined enough to help lift the team. Plus what's wrong with having an extra playmaker in a team that lacks a dominant one?

I believe we already have our Tapine in Tuilagi. I expect he will get his chance in the next few weeks and will make an instant impression.

Brooks has never had more than 16 try assists in a season. So yeah I’d say it’s relevant. Try again.

Yet the last list I saw Reynolds was ahead of Hasting in the MOS ratings ..was 2 rounds ago though
