Some people are so upset we've signed him purely because of personal reasons it seems. He's a good solid player, people are scared he will replace their favourite little Brooks!

On Hastings he is currently playing at 103kg, which is fair lump for a half. A lot of his problems in the past have been due to a will to win which has caused problems with more senior players when he would call them out about their form in a disrespectful manner. Apparently he has worked on the manner he does that that but is still someone who demands high standards from his team mates. Sounds like the type of person we need as long as his own form is up to scratch.

If he's a leader he needs to be in the halves... hopefully they don't move him around just to accomodate Brooks though. He and Doueihi could be a real nice halves combo, Doueihi also a very good centre if Brooks plays well too.

I think a AD/ Hastings combo lacks pace, the plan is for a Brooks Hastings pairing. Though at 103kg Hastings could play 13.

Laurie can be moved and maybe that would work but my take is that Laurie owns the fullback spot but he has a lot of work to do.

I keep bringing where does Hastings play because to me AD and Brooks are playing great. I don't like moving players around too much as well.

I think to start with Hastings should take Mbye's utility spot then see what happens from there.

Our attack is far from being that bad anyways despite all the shuffling around in the backline…we are 7th in the comp for points scored in a miserable season

What I am saying is nobody has seen what he can do in our colours and people like yourself are constantly bagging him.
I am aware I bag Brooks - but I do so having watched him play in our team for 9 years.
We’ll see if you’re right and Hastings can’t tackle, has no speed and was playing in an inferior completion after he’s laced up his boots for us.

How do you I have not seen him play juniors?

Hastings represented Aust Schools in 2013. and made his debut in 2014 for the Roosters. Brooks played Aust Schools in 2012 and made his debut for WTs in 2013. Brooks has basically played NRL since then. Hastings has been moved on from two clubs and no NRL club wanted him after that. There have been lots of posts about Hastings' new found maturity. Brooks appears to have had that from the start.
