Hastings has a big mouth and that’s what we need. Him and Brooks will undoubtably start the season together in which case Hastings just needs to make himself heard and develop himself into a leader in the NRL. I yearn for the first time him and Doueihi play in the halves together

or Hastings and Brooks start the season well and we are winning then what, some on hear will be in a panic as the pin up boy Douhie has to come back at 6 or bust.
Don't change a winning team fit Douhie in at centre or lock

Since his JF days, I always thought Doueihi was a ball playing lock.

Watching Yeo playing lock as a first receiver to get the halves more width, there's no reason AD can't play the same role

He's very dangerous runner of the ball, which is critical to keep defence in 2 minds. Has a great passing game. Only thing is that the lock needs to clean up the middle in defence, so AD needs to find his shoulders

This is the spot for Brooks. He would kill it there.

I have not been excited about Hastings coming and Im still not. I have also been very negative and concerned about all the "he's a great guy" media after being burned by "great guy" Josh Reynolds.

But he does actually seem to be a genuinely good guy. Hope he is and I hope he contributes to our club.

Reynolds body was shot before he arrived and we paid massive overs for him. Hastings is 25, won't be on huge coin and has a point to prove in the NRL. Living in Europe I've been keeping an eye on the Super League and for him to do what he did with Salford is nothing short of incredible. He'll be an asset for sure.

People can downplay his efforts in SL all they want however I'm with you on what he did at Salford. Even last year making a GF with Wigan and going very close again this season. He is a competitor who will give 100% all the time which is a lot more than most gave this yr for the Tigers. He will push his team-mates to be better.

Yes what he did with Salford was amazing. They were a club entrenched so far below the powerhouse clubs like St Helens, Wigan, Warrington, Leeds, that they may as well have been in a different competition. Single-handedly took a cellar-dweller club to a grand final. I can't think of any other Australian who has had such an impact over there.

How the hell does a finals match be 0-8

Wasn't a gf last year a similar score lol

SL is weird

Roosters-Manly a few years back ended 4-0. It was one of the best finals games I can remember. Weird? Idk

Can’t see it.
His ‘wondrous’ defence is a sham.
Would get run over in a hurry.

Agree - just the type of character we need for this team

Something I like about the Super League is that players are transparent about why they are moving clubs. The fans understand their reasons and are able to appreciate the time that player spent at their club.

Anyone know if Hastings and Gilbert will be joining us this year or in 2022? Judging by Sheen not been able to fly back now for like 3 months and sill not booked in I have my concerns either will arrive this year..

Flights are supposed to be a lot easier to get towards the end of the year.

Might have something to do with the fact that their salary cap is less than half ours. Harder to make a quid there for the average player.

when is sheenious officially working?

He is basically already working with the club. He has booked another flight for end of October so hopefully it doesn't get cancelled again. Still would have to quarantine as well.

Jackson Hastings seems like the ultimate project player. Incredible talent, but not well socialised. No wonder he had a bit of a tough time in his first NRL stint.

All rugby league players at youth levels are drilled on character, and what character traits are required to make it as a professional rugby league player. He must have been missing a large number of those traits, therefore he didn't "fit in". My guess why he didn't have them - something to do with his old man.

I take it he has worked on himself as a person. Hopefully he has done enough mental health work to know not to accept the bad influences back into his life. Because that is always how a person like him regresses (too much trust in his friends, can easily be led astray).

Can't wait till he outplays Brooks in his first game and continues to do so for his entire time at the Tigers.

can't wait to see Hastings and Brooks fire and we win games and the meltdown on the Forum by some as Douhie comes back from injury and where to play him.

AD is a team player.

He'll do what's right for the team.

Played off the bench, second row. For Lebanon.
True competitor.
