HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

I believe their agenda was helping to create a successful sporting organisation, at least that's what their track record over the past 11 months suggests.

Even people stuck in the bat cave realise there is no chance Wests Magpies will ever be re-admitted to the NRL.
That being the case, what benefit is it to the HBG to want Wests Tigers to continue to fail ?

You are now assuming what Barry O stated today is true factual information.
The way I interpreted the comments from DP yesterday are very different.
As I keep saying the truth will be revealed and it would not look good for the HBG in the eyes on the NRL if they have lied to suit their own agenda.

1. My understanding based on the statement from DP is the HBG Wests Tigers board members were not kept in the loop, hence why it was considered a major problem.
2. They obviously cannot pass back information that is being kept secret from them.
3. It would be a serious breach of trust if only some Wests Tigers board members are making important decisions without consulting with all of the Wests Tigers board members.

You have defended Daniel without concrete proof whilst also mentioning rumors about the situation targeting Barry on multiple points that contradicted what Barry said today. Yet you haven’t acknowledged that - you have gone all in to defend Daniel with nothing re Barry.

Why would WT Board be motivated to operate like that, given that we know that these are experienced and well credentialed individuals? It doesn’t compute.

Holman Barnes Group is represented on the board of the Wests Tigers and its representative has been present at all Wests Tigers board meetings and provided with all board information. No concerns have been raised by the representative of Holman Barnes Group at any Wests Tigers board.”

If there is no genuine reason for it, the HBG are bringing a lot of heat on themselves and will have a lot of explaining to do.

Even if the independent board members had over-reached (which most don’t believe), do you not think a less public reaction including warnings would have been more appropriate? This HBG are just dumb.

If the NRL uncover poor governance on behalf of HBG and mistruths from its representative/s on this matter, there will be ramifications. What that will be, who knows but they will ensure it brings proper corp governance.
