HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

To me that will be the same as him speaking. It speaks louder than words .

That decision will impact the decision we will all have to make moving forward. Ie do we still continue to support the club?

I'll be out for good if Richardson is puahed
Not looking good for Richo.

"AP: Will there be more changes, given that Tigers CEO Shane Richardson had aligned himself with the independent directors and was a vocal proponent thereof? Is his job now untenable?"

"DP: “We were* supporting Shane from the outset. He’s come back and expressed that he’s got some things to think about, and Shane needs to make a decision now.”"

Shouldn't that read, are*? A little too 'past tense' for my liking.

Yep well spotted. Id say he is gone.

Yeah that bit hit me right between the eyes

I doubt independence would have included the ability to sell an asset owned by the parent company. I think independence meant that they did not want to get sign off for recruiting players and staff, for getting jerseys approved, for signing new sponsors etc.... I can tell you for a fact (dont ask me how i know) that the whole Galvin signing saga and the $$ reported that we were going to offer him as well as the way he was coddled by the club and Benji was all driven from the HBG board....they wanted him to stay and commit ASAP and this forced Richo and Benji's hand.
To be fair then if that’s true , I think that played out the way it should have . Could you imagine us going through the Galvin saga right now , along with this board stuff . The luai and Bula contract extensions . We would have spent the whole offseason on the back page . Because Galvin was going no matter what . He had a deal in place since January with the dogs. Gus negotiated with a Galvin impersonator apparently …

It keeps coming back to why couldn't this be solved internally with dialogue?! Do HDB expect an-ex premier to just bow down to a musician, read their mind and hand everything on a platter??

Its such knee jerk and amature behaviour. As barry said, HBG were not just on the board, but each committee. Which would have included stadium.

Richo locked in the 15yr to get $50m for Leichhardt. Maybe 5 years too long, but hardly unreasonable. Im sure this had plenty of discussions internally. We need to hear the other side and for HBG to show evidence of attempts to resolve this.

One of the reasons O'Farrell no doubt was engaged is his connections with govt and business. The $20m from the Federal Govt, $10m each from the State Govt and the Inner West Councils may not have been achieved without him. Ironically tenure at that ground is one of the examples cited in that interview as to why there is/was dissatisfaction with some independent members noting the comment that HBG is in talks with some of them.

Also with that stadium plan wtf did HBG want it to be. We are playing the next 15 years at our home grounds that are being upgraded. If they aren't happy with the years how is that a sackable offensive and if they are telling the truth that they just felt disrespected by that being in the loop then wtf is Dennis Burgess and Leo Epifania doing. Also why now, what was it that caused it to happen now. This stadium plan was announced months ago what caused this drastic change at this moment.

It's there for all to see.

Im talking...just said don't ask any questions unless you're willing to answer questions posed to you and engage properly. You're evasive and it doesn't look good for you.
I’m an open book 👍

Your “It’s there for all to see” however is a cop out and a fudge.
Quotes please - prove your assertion
Thank you
