To make an all-encompassing statement like "pathetic human, along with the rest of the people supporting him" I have to assume you know them all personally.
Certainly acting like a pathetic humam, wouldn't you agree

If I lived there, I’d be all about the BearsI was born and bred magpie. I grew in Ashfield/Croydon. Went to school in Ashfield. Put a Magpie jersy on for our area code. BUT I'M A Wests Tiger. 2000 was my new club it hurt but not for long. I love the Tigers. I live in WA now and crave to watch them every week in season. I just feel lost what are these dumb F'S doing. Move and let us enjoy our club. No matter how bad we have been. PERTH BEARS ARE STARTING TO LOOK GREAT FOR ME. ONE MORE YEAR. SOUGHT IT OR I'M DONE. AND THAT KILLS ME TO SAY.
Do tell im Trying to find optimism?I would suggest this isn't the end of it...
HBG has been a shit owner for way longer than the current people on it.They want to be the guys who make the decisions, and they have spent enough time together that they honestly believe they are the best people to do it. Don't think its any more complicated than that.
Unfortunately what they want to do and what they can do is dependent on skill and ability. History would say that is non existentIsn't it clear that it's not happening.
As I said before, these guys aren't idiots. Even if let's say we go from Wests Tigers to Wests Magpies, they will lose a large chunk of funding that comes because of BRET wouldn't they?
Isn't it in their best self interests to make Wests Tigers as big and successful as possible? They are in a position where they can see that.
Even if you remove HBG and put in another XYZ company as owners, wouldn't they be in the same position?
You can't have 30+ inempt executives over 15 years on the Board. There is something in it for someone to gain that they keep whiteanting people. All this for an ego or power trip isn't worth it, I refuse to believe that's what it is.
I cannot find it, but money has to be a motivator.
Yes...wise words...its only been a week this could take quite a while...my only hope nowGiven the complexities of this mess I would be prepared to give V'Landys sufficient time to check the legalities before making a move. If he does nothing he's in strife, and if he does something and gets it wrong it goes even worse for him. The quicker the better for all parties involved though.
The ability to replace a company or and individual is what drives competition and innovation. It’s why the HBG board is so inept and dysfunctional, they’re protected and have little incentive to improve themselves. Not having a go at you but I wanna discuss these points further.
1. You said they are doing it for their own ego/ self worth. Usually I find that money is the biggest motivator, not ego. HBG profits 50x more than WT so I fail to see a financial motive. In terms of ego, I have a second point.
2. Dont you think there are people in the Broncos hierarchy that are big on their own ego and wanting to re-live their glory days? What's stopping them from acting in their self interest?
Here is where I land. This is not a "people" issue. Every person when given an opportunity will take it for their self interest. What stops them is a good structure and having the foresight that the Business' best interest is in fact your best interest too.
This is a "structure" issue. We put in place these independent directors but then we gave the Owners the power to remove them too. What's the point then?
HBG isn't a person, how many CEOs has HBG or Wests had in the last 15 years?
I remember speaking to @cochise once about how the profits are distributed. He said the HBG cannot touch WT profits. This is a good thing to shield WT but then what incentive does HBG have? How do we ask them to put more money into Wt if they're not getting money out of it?
We need a structure which promotes excellence. Winning is a by-product of it.
I have no idea what the answer is, but all I know is "replacing" a company or an individual isn't it.
Richo is at the front of the queue for any club looking for a CEO / GM.I'm resigned to the fact if Velandys was going to do something Richo would have been all over it. Richo knew it was a lost cause and walked.😭
Cant see....let me.guesss initials MM?This guy is the most toxic fan I've seen on socials

Anyone know if he has connection to HBG?
I'm still a fan, however, I won't be going to games or supporting financially until it is resolved. It's a big step back for me; my family and I have loved going to games since my children were born. They've never seen a winning season, but that never stopped us going, or from them being enthusiastic about our team.
It's no coincidence that everything is all of a sudden playing out in the media once again.
It doesn't feel like our club anymore, it's just an ego trip, power play for the HBG group now.
I would like to thank all the podcasters for your activism around the club. As fans, we all feel disgruntled by all of this but it's much appreciated the way you all put voice to all that and put your name forward in coordinating efforts.
Your spot on, it's not going to happen. Though if it did, I guarantee there would be people who would go to any lengths to turn it back to Wests Tigers. Attempting to bring back the Magpies like was being reported last year in the media is the only logical conclusion I can surmise. They wouldn't care how much money they pump into it, it's not theirs. There was no reason for what they've done. Maybe your giving them too much credit. Maybe they don't have a valid personal reason and are just incompetent. Time will tell eventually. That's not happening. You still have Ipswich, South Brisbane and even NZ way above in the pecking order.
And they would sabotage a current NRL team just to hopefully get a new one in later? No way. These guys are too smart to do that.
Honestly, there has to be something else..
No doubt, I just figure if Richo thought the N.R.L were going to intervene he would have stuck it out.Richo is at the front of the queue for any club looking for a CEO / GM.
WT under new ownership would bang his door down.
I replied to you earlierand what do they want to do with this power and control?
"Oh yay, we have full control of the team that is the worst run club in the NRL".
These guys on the Board are not idiots. They've all been successful in some way, shape or form, hence why they are in the position they're in.
I still cannot find the actual motive tbh.
That's fair, but the last sentence is irrelevant IMO.The ability to replace a company or and individual is what drives competition and innovation. It’s why the HBG board is so inept and dysfunctional, they’re protected and have little incentive to improve themselves.
Our previous CEO was in the position for 9 years and achieved mediocrity at best. Richo achieved more in 12 months than he did in 9 years.
Removing poor performers and retaining high achievers is exactly the answer to achieve success.
The HBG board has performed poorly and absolutely need replacing.
It might be the last thing we do together as west tigers fans13th Dec.... We march.
Will anything likely happen from it? Probably not... but god we need to try.
It’s early. No doubt, I just figure if Richo thought the N.R.L were going to intervene he would have stuck it out.
I'm hoping Richo has done this to force Vlandys into moving in. Though it's looking like he's gone atm. It’s early.
Not at all what i'm saying re Magpies. God knowsHBG has been a shit owner for way longer than the current people on it.
Which decisions do they want to make? Are we saying there are 1 or 2 people on the HBG Board that love the Magpies so much that they want WT to fail, get a team in the NRL as WS and then be in full control of that team?
That's far fetched and probably more than 5+ years away. Doubt even 50% of the Board Members survive that long.
