What makes you think they didn't move away from the independent board model?

Was it removing the independent board?

They absolutely removed the independent board members. For reasons that they seem to believe are reasonable (which unless you like circles- we'll agree have been covered).

What they have not done or said is- the independent board member model doesn't work.

As I asked for the last couple of days- if 4 new independents & a new CEO are put in place, is the hysteria warranted?

It might be speculative but from the outside looking in what was done last week is proof our majority owners are incompetent when it comes to running an N.R.L franchise. No one, no other club no matter how poorly run or how in the dark they were, if they were, would have come close to doing what HBG board did. There were ample other options that could have been taken. They could have very easily set up a conference call between the two boards, a meeting anything. They chose to blow the joint up.

What you again fail to understand is the majority aren't Balmain people, Balmain are not the solution, they are part of the problem.

We are Wests Tigers people, we love the Wests part of our name. The debenture holders due not own the Wests Tigers, the hbg directors do not own the Wests Tigers, they are custodians only and have failed in that role.

Cochise is a passionate WTs' supporter. I take it to mean we should be proud of our heritage but need to be unified in our support for WTs. I am a huge Balmain supporter but know the future is WTs. Many youngsters from the inner west and Campbelltown and Macarthur support only WTs.

Without having a democratically elected board the club will always be in danger of self destruction and little chance of long term success. Even if they come up with a peace plan for their lastest actions, another explosion is just around the corner.

The HBG have to get through their thick skulls, it’s not their club, it’s the fans and members and they have the responsibility to make sure it is run successfully and legally.

Anyway while they have the current debenture system I have very little trust in them

It would benefit both HBG and the NRL if the former concentrated on what it does best in running Wests Leagues and leaving the running of the WTs to another entity selected by the NRL.

We had 4 good directions, a chairman and one of the bst CEOs already before the HBG politicians blew it up.

We're tarnished yet again.
