A lot of the magpies hatred towards Wests Tigers came from what Sheens did - stacked Balmain with NRL players and let Wests run with park footballers. Some of the scores against them were atrocious. Balmain put 88 and 76 on them. They had 50+ put on them 18 times and had a differential of minus 1100. And then you wonder why Wests see themselves as disrespected in the JV

He's a big Leeds fan also he's in a Leeds FB group im in spoken a few times mostly about Leeds mind you some Wests Tigers but seemed like a decent fella but was very one eyed Maggie.
Im from Berala few of us seem to be knocking around from those stomping grounds, miss going to Thai pak 😀

I get that but it us a good reason why it shoykd always have been one reserve grade team.
Now 25 years on, unity should prevail

I lost an old jacket, I think it was actually stolen. It had been my grandfathers bus driver jacket and it was my favourite even though it was beat up with holes in it.
Anyway, I moved on. I still think about it from time to time when I need a jacket, but Ive got a new jacket and it does the job.
As time goes by you let go of things that once were incredibly important. I guess that is called maturity.
 
If Iwas running the joint everything would be branded Weststigers. All teams from junior reps through to the top grade would be the Weststigers. The only exception would be once a year when they played a home game against Manly they would wear the magpie strip and once a year when they played a home game against Souths they would wear the Balmain strip. Every other game they would be branded Weststigers.

Not to get too deep, but I think it shows a clear void in one’s life to not be able to let something go after over 25 years. Not a lot of fulfilment. Would be understandable if the Magpies went the way of Norths, but it’s even worse that the Magpies lived on in some form, but it’s still not good enough. Even after 25 years. To put it in perspective, in 1999, 25 years prior Elvis and John Lennon were still alive.

That would be a grammatical nightmare for some.

Here's where I think you might need to re-examine. Balmain is dead. There are not two groups, there are three.

Balmain - A very small group of high-profile people who would want to bring them back.
Wests - A small group of fans and HBG group leads that would want to bring them back
WESTS TIGERS - The majority of people who just want to see a club run well, and are happy to pay homage to our past.

So when you talk about Balmain people flooding it, do you mean Wests Tigers? Everyone here has denounced Balmain, there really just isn't the volume of people that would want that to happen.

The debenture holders are not accountable right now - that's our only issue.

Yeah that is how you show your intelligence. Sack 4 people and then be forced to reappoint them. Burgess is playing 1D chess atm.
