It sounds like you think he could be ok, other than the fact he is associated with HBG.
We keep assuming the old regime namely DB will continue to pull the strings, but is there any chance the old regime are now happy to pass the baton on to some new fresher faces such as Daniel Paton ?
I understand they could put the pope on their board and you still wouldn’t be happy, but I’m just trying to point out that there could be a big change in who is making the decisions on behalf of HBG and it could be a result of a friendly push from PVL.
I acknowledge you have advised you are giving HBG a couple of months to prove they are doing the right thing before driving more protests, so it’s a case of time will tell and I don’t have a crystal ball to be certain HBG will not again step out of line, but neither does anyone who is against them.

The fact that they sacked directors and then had to reappoint them shows that nothing has changed at HBG.

The fact they used communication as an excuse but didn't sack their representatives shows that nothing has changed at HBG.

The fact they sacked directors that oversaw the clubs first steps forward in over a decade shows nothing has changed at HBG.

The fact that they did all of the above and destabilised the playing group shows nothing has changed at HBG.

The fact that they gave Benji a 5 year contract to try and get the narrative back shows nothing has changed at HBG.

As long as they continue to abide by his rules is there any real need for this hysteria to continue ?

I'm just trying to understand where the blame lies if all this doesn't work. Looks like HBG have a ready made excuse in PVL. No accountability yet again.

Yes and now they are paying the consequences by having to follow the terms and conditions being directed by PVL.
Obviously extending Benji’s contract was a PR stunt, what other choice was there under the circumstances?

Is it really a consequence when they still got what they wanted, control over the board?

Consequence would have been return to the independent review set up, or less positions on the board.

To not create that situation in the first place. Just over 2 weeks ago, the fanbase was the most positive its been on a long time. HBG destroyed that.
