Geez man. Do you give up when there are still problems? This is why we don't win anything. We're happy when there are still structural issues and dealing with mediocrity. And this is coming from a bloke who wasn't a "crusty old Magpie", but a Balmain fan.
I wonder why HE can see it, yet very few others can.
Good on you Chad ( said in my best Lawrence Mooney/Malcolm Turnbull voice ).
Further, the season is about to start. Whatever the reasoning behind HBG's actions . . . that was a few months ago. And apart from on here, the rumblings have died down.
It's time to let go, put on an optimistic face, and hope that this season will be better, just like we've done for the past 25 years, facing one F up after another, crap signing A followed by crap signing B.
There's been a million reasons for our failings. This is just the latest.
It's done. Was it a great outcome for us . . . probably not. Did it kill us . . . probably not. Did it cost us a premiership . . . probably not.
You can turn yourselves inside out blaming HBG for everything that's wrong with our club, that's a very narrow take on it, but like them or not, they have done WAY more good for our club than bad.
Christ . .. some of you wanted Elias back in a position of authority !!!!
Are HBG perfect ? no. Whoever here is perfect, please pm me as I'd like to know your secret.
Build a bridge. Deep breath, think positive. And let's all hope for a better season on field, and off.
The people still fighting want the best leaders in the organisation so we can win. Unfortunately, I've got very little power to change it, but I'm certainly not going to roll over. Nor should any of us.
HBG leadership could repair this in multiple ways, but they are still hiding in the shadows.
