Heath Mason #288

[Alex Seyfarth's #1 Fan]

Played really well. Made his tackles and got more involved as the game went on. Earned himself another few weeks in the 6 jersey. Latu will have to wait his turn.

Keeps his spot for next week. Well done Mason

[Demps]

He held his own for sure.

Refreshing to see the directness of running.
Flashy player by the looks of it.
Definitely a #6 and a very exciting prospect.

Yep. Way better than I expected.

Will save us having to rush Latu back.

100%, it’s a simple game but direct running we haven’t seen for ages. He also stayed on the right and have Luai some space.

Will be interesting to see how the combo works over next few weeks.

Love the guy. Worth persisting with. So fast off the mark. Going to cause defences a lot of headaches.

Galvin who 😎

[Batmans Parents]

Mason has to be on the team at 6 or 14 going forward. Latu can slowly work his way back from injury at 14.

Well done on a good performance.

Didn’t watch the game but always rated this guy in every aspect other than catching a ball, so was hoping the staff might move him to centres or something. However, with Galvin gone he can definitely be our back-up 5/8 if Latu is fit. Good to see him go well as he seems like a nice grounded kid. Hope we get him a Top 30 deal sometime as he definitely deserves it.

The way he defends, I don’t think centre is a bad shout long term

[ezybro]

Thought heath was strong tonight, asked lots of questions. Put a lot of energy in defence and looked gassed at times but he definitely deserves another game

[weststigerman]

Same amount of tries as Galvin all season in his first game at 6.

[BAGNF05]

Mason, Luai and Bula connected well in H2.

We were flat in H1 though. We can’t compete in the trenches.

Galvin who 😎

Tonight proved that Galvin was a handbrake on Luai.

[TonyTiger]

Even funnier if we are playing the dogs and Heath or whomever is opposite Galvin shows him up.

Love Heath Mason - what a competitor! First game at 5/8 and you can see the combo already with Luai
The comeback was not on the cards tonight if the Camel was still here at 5/8, meandering across field with that weird-arse gait.
Go Mason you good thing!!

Can’t help but think the same. Will be interesting to see over the next few weeks how he looks.

[Vicious]

He’s plays with plenty of heart.
He’s far from the full package just yet, but looks like a player who will continue to improve.

Did it? I don't think Luai played much differently.

Heath had a cracker, just so comfortable in first grade - especially for a smaller player.

[bbobb]

I thought he was great tonight. Ran hard and straight, passed well and pulled of a couple of cracking hits on a much bigger man in Nanai.
Thought he looked a little gassed right at the end but that’ to be expected.
He will be better next week. Happy for Latu to come back through Reggies and give Heath some time in the halves.
