No other coach had a record that bad for two months straight. I don't know what to even say. I have not seen a team with no defensive structures at all like this. We concede Z grade tries weekly.

Why do people do that ...lets look at team's and compare them to the high standards that the top clubs set ..not go are we are better than the 14th best side or the 15th best side .....no wonder we are a cellar dweller

and then some people were not happy when we were ninth, with the same team! :blush:

He might do a good job when he gets the team he wants but he’s been very disappointing with existing players. Holbrook and Payten have shown you can improve a team without needing to completely change the roster.

He's done a very poor job with what he's got. Agree with your points avo.

Thats the thing ...you take the bloke the Storm loaned us out and where are we ......shaking hands with Brisbane and Bulldogs supporters

I tend to agree with your comments although i am a Madge supporter. The Club will offer him a 1 year extension which i think is warranted based upon current roster.

I do have to start to ? his selection policy this season.
Mybe - Never dropped until injured
BJ - Signed him but offered little
Grant - we seriously would be struggling more if he was not on loan and maybe Spoon contention - Saved Mage's Job

No one really asks the coaches serious ? about there game plan especially after a loss but agree have to ? what ther plan actually is moving forward.

All talk sometimes not overlly impressed tonight.

Yes mate, this is where I am really disappointed.

Holbrook has put in structures, added an organizing half, shifted Taylor away from the play making and got their pack defending as a unit. Blooded several players with a view to 2021.

We have regressed massively and done nothing to fast track some combos for 2021.

Benchie put up a midfield bomb with a couple of minutes till halftime, Storm scored soon after , turning point in game ,Webster had just run out a message , bet it wasn’t mid field bomb, quicker he gets on his bike the better

One bloke should take up catching darts / javelin .......he doesn't need to be in lockdown ..can't catch the ball ...let alone Covid

Certain players let the side down tonight with extremely poor defence. Is it the players or the coach? You would think with their experience,Benji,Bj Lawrence ,Nofo and Reynolds would know how to defend? You would think that AJ would know how to catch?

When we are 10 down ...if he gets the ball he is through and no one stops him

To think a coach could turn around the worst team in the comp in less than 4 or 5 years is ridiculous.

Mate he’s done a poor job, we’ve regressed under him. The results speak for themselves.

I keep saying the same thing the team is playing at there worst right at this juncture! Over two seasons under Maguire and they do not even look like there being coached .. most want to make excuses me it’s all black and white and there for all to see .. Potter and god forbid JT had the team playing better !

We are backing him and happy to give a 1 year extension based upon the current roster, but other coaches have come in and done more with there roster tah Madge.

Holbrook with Corey Thompson should be one example.

To be honest, the same could be said for us. The only other half who is in contention is Madden who is a 20yo having only played a season of CC. JF from the titans was in their system playing CC so he had something to work with. Madge has tried various half combinations to work out which is the best and it was evident Brooks and Benji was the way to go. Blooded several players, well so has Madge. I think this season we have blooded as many youngsters as weve had in a while. As for structures, I am not too sure. Webster is the defensive coach and he is gone next year.

Bottom line is defence is attitude and the attitude isn't there.

i disagree we were playing better with any of the previous coaches, we played a grinding style but it was never going to threaten.

Our best now is as good as the top 4 just inconsistent.

Either way lets sack the coach, get another one and continue the cycle of mediocrity.

This is going to be another 2-3 years to rebuild, some of you better start to accept that

We have young centers who desperately need games at center.
We have a young winger who needs to develop combos with them.
We have nothing to lose / season done...

PERFECT game to play Talau or Hoffman...

And...
We play Lawrence.

That just killed all faith I had left.

It makes no sense on every level right now and even less looking at 2021.
