I think it was more the whiplash effect from the illegal shoulder charge (not penalised) that sent Mbye from the field rather than any contact with the head..

Brains are not designed to swoosh around in your skull…

Yeah… That would occur in many tackles many times throughout the game... It's a high impact sport and they're big boys... Let's put Velcro tags on them

So not done…good to see..

Yep.. No comeback… As expected.

Did Lachlan Lewis go off for a HIA after being smashed?
Lots of whiplash there.

FYI I'm done with membership, Its not just us it's nrl in general will watch from the Ikea stand in future.

Don't worry I'm not done with you and the forum

I don't know ..I'm not the trainer paid to do the assessment on the field..

Well you seem to know he should not have come off..Is that what you are saying

I'm just saying why he could have come off…All head assessment don't need contact with the head..

We've gone from head injuries and head clashes to taking players off for high impact non head contact
The result to us seems secondary to allegedly "following protocol".

Others have mentioned we take players off at the drop of a hat.

I didn't see it but heard on the way to the game Mitchell Pearce had blood pouring from a head wound but stayed on… If it was one of ours... Nup

Soft

Pearce had several cuts on his head from a head clash with a team mate in a tackle, they taped him, he played on, I did not see an on field assessment

Ssssssshhhhh
I’m enjoying this !

I thought about it when they took Mbye off and I am very happy with it. That is exactly the club I want to support and that will ultimately be successful, because they look after their players and the players ( and the players we try to attract) know that we look after them (compared to making a semi paralysed Simon Dwyer stumble off).

Ink you make it sound like Moussa went on and said "gee that look like it hurt, you better come off". You could see that Moussa was putting Mbye through a drill and a series of questions. Obviously the responses from Mbye didnt come back the way they are supposed to which means SOME THING IS WRONG WITH HIS BRAIN!

Under those circumstances I dont want him on there risking his long term health. What if he got belted again?

I thought the shoulder charge on Mbye was late and avoidable and should have been penalized. Especially when compared to one in the earlier game by Linnet which did not appear to be a shoulder charged yet attracted a penalty. Like all Ref. decisions these days, it depends who the side is, or toss of a coin.

At that stage in the game I wish they'd taken all of them off, not just Mbye, for all the good they were doing. The whole team is HIA - hopeless in attack.

NRL 2018: David Klemmer slapped with a dangerous contact charge and faces suspension

THEY were teammates, but David Klemmer showed no mercy for Moses Mbye on Friday night. He’s been slapped with a dangerous contact charge and faces suspension for this hit.

AAPJULY 28, 20184:57PM
DAVID Klemmer will miss Canterbury’s clash with Brisbane on Thursday night unless he can beat a dangerous contact charge at the NRL judiciary.

Klemmer has been slapped with a grade-one charge over a late hit on former teammate Moses Mbye, which forced the Wests Tigers fullback from the field in the Bulldogs’ win on Friday night.

He will miss just one game if he enters an early guilty plea. But that penalty will increase to two weeks if he fights the charge at the judiciary and loses due to carry-over points and heavy weighting for prior offences.

No Penalty at the time..yet bunker had a thousand looks and CAN rule on foul play… 😕 😕

Disgusting that he could be charged for it and we get no penalty for it. All the rubbish decisions that scrutinised all weekend and that one doesn’t even get a second glance.

The HIA with Mbye was irrelevant, as it was an out and out shoulder charge, so it must be penalised.

More proof again the Bunker is failing the game

We either use it for everything or get rid of it

When things are clear like that they must step in

In round 13 the NRL issued an edict the the Bunker CAN rule on Foul Play….*crickets

Well they AREN"T using it are they

I reckon they had at least two minutes and we as fans must have viewed it 4-5 times

In no way am I saying it cost us the game , the Dogs were far better and it would of been a travesty for them if they lost

The fine print on the edict reads "except when a tigers player is the victim"

I'm sure they all just sit in the bunker and piss on sometimes.
