Never been a fan of it as I don't see them as singers per say. Plus I'm a sucker for a good guitar riff and some solid drumming, not a drum machine producing fake bass.

I am very similar to this, just never really got into it even though friends of mine did. The closest I ever got was Run DMC and the Beastie Boys.

The soundtrack to the under rated cult classic Judgement Night back in the early 90s was an interesting sound track with rap/hard rock artists collaborating.

Yeah I actually like the rap/ rock cross overs, I'm a huge Rage Against the Machine fan so it fits in my wheelhouse quite nicely!

I’ll listen to most Genres of music but refrain from rap, techno and Heavy metal.

And why is that?

Vastly different to what I grew up listening too and got a taste for. Often don’t like or can’t understand the lyrics, can’t relate to a lot of it. There are certainly some rap songs I like many have said from the earlier days like BBoys etc.

Defiantly can’t relate to the real heavy metal but there are some songs that blow my mind.

Nothing against the artists them selves as it takes great skill to write a song in any manner.

Love good RNB, Soul, Jazz and Blues just not much of that rap.

Oh I hate I mean hate techno, trance or what ever rubbish they listen to at those pinger show’s

This is similar to me except my exclusions are Rap and Country. The one exception in Rap is Lose Yourself (M&M) - just happens to be a perfect rhythm for me to run to.

Vanilla ice is awesome. Surprised his movie hasn’t got a mention on the films thread.

Will never forget the pick up line. “Yep, yep. Words of wisdom, drop that zero and get with the hero”
