I wouldn't know the first thing about the nfl but best of luck to him.

How is Holmes any less of an athlete the Hayne was, plus hes got age on his side. If he makes it I can see him doing far better then hayne did.

Hayne is the superior of the two.
Simple as that.

Val gets donkey of the day.
Hes top 5 wingers in the NRL and top 10 fullbacks…
In the NFL he won't be first string anything.

I heard a wrestler once say, a real wrestler not the WWE nonsense... That he could take 5 years off and not train whilst a person with no wrestling experience can train for that 5 years and get all the coaching possible.... The five year off guy would still win because its second nature to them and they're conditioned since young to do it. It's a massive American culture and they take it serious because it can take them to the olympics and college.... Jus like AMERICAN FOOTBALL.

As far as I know Val didn't spend his whole life since he could walk tossing the pig skin in a grid iron sense. He's up against an entire country of potential stars who play from young ages. Every school has a team. High school state championships, national championships, college!

America is huge also.
He's a big fish in a small pond over here but yeah... Good luck Val. Gronk.

So you're slating the guy for taking a risk on a total unknown because it is something he wants to do, despite forgoing all the money he stands to make here?

If everyone thought that way the human race would go nowhere.

Wah Wah Wah.

Allz I'm saying is….
The kid is very unlikely to make it.

Dream big kiddies.

He's probably not. As you say it's a game you have to be pretty much playing from birth. Calling the bloke a gronk for having a lash is a bit unfair though.

Why not, if it goes belly up he will at the most be out of action for a season and maybe less. He will still get a giant contract when he returns. Always good to see a guy jumping outside their comfort zone

or was he talking about Gronkowski? Just watching today's game with Kareem Hunt (almost made the olympics for sprinting) and Gurley in action, it's almost comical to think Val has a shot…but yeh, nah he ain't gonna make it. doesn't mean he can't try

Colin Scotts was on the radio today, he said, " Holmes has more chance at cracking it than Hayne did, he needs to bulk up and get a little quicker".
Which he said "is easily achieved if he is committed", also said" the NFL could use a guy like Holmes, likened him to some small wide receiver, can't remember his name.
But bottom line is, Colin Scotts is way more qualified to give an opinion than any of us, and if he thinks Holmes can make it, then that will do me

yea he needs to put on 5-10kg and get quicker cause i think they said his sprint time is below the average of that of a NFL player

I think Scotts said, he is 4.6sec over 40, needs to be 4.4sec, but said that can be acheived with committment

4.6 is pretty slow for the 40 yard dash even by combine standards. Scotts knows more than me, but you don't often see people pick up that sort of speed in their mid 20s.

The only person under their management that comes readily to mind who is dodgy / dealings is DCE

I'm not following

His management group is PGM and is run by the Orrs …....

Yeah…and?
I doubt theyd have possible NFL recruits left right and center
Im still not seeing your point

OK sorry my bad , meant that the Orr's don't seem the guys that make stuff up to push their clients worth up

Righto… Risking a 5 year deal tho if he fails over there but he'll walk back into any team in '20

Qld's outside backs stocks looking very lean in 2019 , a couple of injuries and we will be in real strife

there's no way he will make it (happy to be proved wrong). AB; Gurly; Kareem; Leo'veon Bell et al are a different league. Their players are so much more gifted athletically with so much more competition for spots than the NRL.

Val hasn't even played this sport before…if anything he might make a few appearances like Hayne did and that would be about it...

#FACTS

Calling him a gronk for thinking he actually has a chance.
He's an NRL player that could play union… but NFL? Almost a joke.

I once heard a MMA commentator joke that it's hilarious that some one like James Toney (Boxer) and CM Punk (WWE wrestler) can come and have a fight in the UFC. It's unheard of and an MMA fighter couldn't just go and play in the NBA.

Val is dreaming.
He's athletic but he isn't NFL built athletic.

Gallen going off like a porkchop as usual

Wanting players that leave the code to get 2 year bans

Well Paul I reckon players who get on the juice to get 2 year bans …...how long did you get ??

Another imbecile that doesn't need a platform.
Even in retirement I doubt we'll see the end of this colossal grub.
He'll be in the media making a comment on everything.

Wants his mate to cop a two year ban….

Yeah , right.
