Home Games?

Just signed up for this forum yesterday and have alot of questions so thanx to every1 for helping.

But this is my main question, when Fox was interviewing Mark Gasnier. They were saying how great it was to play his last game at Kogra oval and how he got the big walk off and all, he then said that if they get the home final then they could play there again so he didn't need the big parade, until they told him they can't play there and only at SFS Or ANZ, and he asked what the point of a home game was then.
Why did they do that?? Why can't u play in your home? Why can't we play home final games at Leichardt? I dnt understand it.

i agree….. its called a _home semi_, so why is it not at the home ground that the club chooses??

I don't agree. The suburban grounds are inadequate for hosting a finals match. They need more capacity.

Bottom line is they are too small. SFS and ANZ hold more people and therefore more gate takings/money.

Everything is about money! Rugby league is a high grossing commercial product. If it wasnt about money then balmain and magpies would still be in first grade!

why Leichardt,why not Campbelltown? its different for the Tigers coz they have two heartlands,and the fact that they have a nuteral home ground only makes it a no-brainer as to where to play a potential home semi,as its only fair to both parties

I think it's tough if Manly, who have such a strong home ground advantage when they play at Brookvale, could come 2nd and we could come 7th and the game is at one of our home grounds. Where is the reward for finishing in the top 4 for the Sydney sides?

Not that I'd care, I HATE Manly, but as a League fan it yields no advantage to Sydney teams who finish in the top 4.

If you lose, in all likelihood you won't get knocked out.

If you want to play at your home ground, fix it up. Clubs should not be rewarded for mediocrity. Time for the game to move on and cuts ties to these old grounds.
