Home Ground situation needs to change

Hahaha yeah build a new stadium @ Lidcombe, 10 mins away from ANZ and 20 from bankwest... I'm sure that will go down well

Most posts in this thread are not based in reality!

We sat in that garbage grand stand at Campbelltown for as long as I can remember. It is the most unsatisfying /cramped grand stand I have ever sat in. We no longer go anywhere near the place never again .You all can have it ! Our lounge room grandstand surpasses it 100% .

@cochise Most comments are based on emotion and nothing else .. blind Freddy can see BWS and the game day package is far superior than any other option , Aussies are a fickle bunch there tax dollars build it but they will not attend as it is close to a leagues club ..😂

As a rank outsider I can see that the NRL can continue to treat WT and WT supporters as laughing stock as long as the infighting continues. Pick a bloody ground (one thereof) and stick to it. Bugger the naysayers just make a bloody decision!

I don't mind Campbelltown as long as we have seat on the end of a row!

@NT_Tiger That is where it is ...pick a ground and go for it , we will probable be affected but that’s life . The club is the most important thing in this whole argument moving forward. You can not continue to please everybody that is trash leadership especially when it has been 20yrs ....time for the leadership group to get a SET !

@Snake It's not trash leadership it is non leadership. Waddawegunnadonow? All the while sucking in the big bikkies, eh Barry?

Infighting with fans - that's all this forum proves. And the poll showed a clear margin for where the fans didn't want to play home games, but some are not prepared to accept that.

God you're a whinger. " the grandstand was too cramped " LOL. Why not stand on the hill at LO then. " their tax dollars build it but they will not attend ". My tax dollars were also include in that build and I don't live in Sydney. I get stuff all return for my tax dollars. Be bloody grateful that you have a team in the NRL that you can follow.

@Telltails Infighting within the fans is part of the reason stasis exists within management. Lowest common denominator management attempts to appease everybody but ultimately fails to achieve longer term goals and provide stability. There comes a point in time where the people that are, at this moment, being paid to make decisions on behalf of the club need to bite the bullet and do what they are being paid for. Cultured Bogan has flown the flag and boiled down the options. All they need to do is pick a park and stick with it!

I will accept the decision that the club makes, not a poll on a forum with a low percentage of supporters. It is my opinion that BW is the best venue moving forward for us. I am within my rights to hold that opinion as are those that agree and disagree with me!

@cochise @Snake
I’m really uncomfortable in regards to the ‘Home Ground’ advantage at BankWest and the Parra floggings we received this year just solidified that. It’s unfortunate that it hasn’t worked out for us on the field but off the field it really is a great place!
In regards to on field, I feel in 2020 we may have more luck.
With the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs also calling it home for a Lyons share of their games I feel the
the Parra fortress stigma may have died down a bit with the increased teams all competing at the one ground.
Most likely will end up being as neutral as ANZ in a matter of years.

Really good post and I think you may be righr mate!

@diedpretty Your tax dollars bought you a 300 million dollar stadium for you to enjoy comfortably and in the heart of the city and the buses and trains to get you there easily . So your tax dollars have given you plenty of return .

Evidence of infighting is on this forum topic NT, but is it reflective of the wider WTs community? Isn't memberships at 20,000 a better indication that fans are responding to the options currently available?
So what should management be considering when making decisions, - this forum topic that represents a few strong opinions, or the current 20,000 memberships?

Neither, make the decision on financial viability.
