Home Ground situation needs to change

I want our home ground to be a fortress that opposition players think " Oh poo .....Tigers at home " ....if it takes our fans with a EPL mentality to get the job done so be it

How many people care about the game day experience, facilities etc.

I only go to watch the game don't care about facilities.

As long as we win I'm happy.

It's more like corporate facilities. We need that money.

Why are we talking about BankWest like we pack it out and deriding ANZ for poor attendances in the same breath? All games we've played at BW have been poorly attended and it's patently obvious on television as well.

If ANZ meant cheaper tickets, more money to the club to play there and no one being shut out I'd be all for it.

Imagine if we actually found some consistency and won two thirds of our games over a season, we'd regularly get good crowds, especially against other larger Sydney clubs and if they too are doing well.

No one has mentioned crowds apart from saying that ANZ is too big.

I doubt ANZ would mean more money to the club as the grounds are operated by the same mob and I would guess they would prefer us to play at BW.

No one here, from what I can tell and I certainly don’t, has any knowledge of what the actual arrangements are. These will go a long way in determining which is the most profitable as a home ground. It could be a no brainer.

Why would they be different when the same people run both grounds? especially as Venues live would prefer us to play at BW

Why not. They are different venues with different capacities, different facilities at different locations.

Sorry Cochise, I drew that inference from your comment. Apologies.

Well it depends what the owners want. I imagine they will want both grounds operating, not one sitting stagnant at the expense of the other.

Howdy @pawsandclaws1: re your "can you foresee us giving up the productive junior district so the Roosters :skull_and_crossbones: can move in". I'm giving you a friendly warning now to go and take a valium with your cup of tea.
I can!!! Let me be very clear on this, I dislike the Rorty Roosters as much as any Tigers or Magpies or 'Our Wests Tigers' fans :v: . The reason being, of course, is they pinch our best 'juniors'. Why?..they are the rorters, therefore, have the $$$ + they only have a very small junior area.
As you are no doubt aware, I have suggested very strongly moving Our Wests Tigers to a BankWest style stadium in Campbelltown😛oint_up: . This type of stadium won't happen o'nite of course and will require a lot of groundwork being done in promoting Our Wests Tigers in the area well before the move takes place.
Now getting back to Our juniors. The catchment area around Campbelltown is literally humungus and can only grow with time.
With Our Wests Tigers being centered in Campbelltown we then have to let go of our junior area as we know it now. For x number of years, we retain our existing junior area then share Our area with Rorters/Wabbits or whoever until Our Wests Tigers develop Our area to a sufficient level.
This way the Rorters will be forced to produce their own juniors with much less chance of pinching Ours.
An alternative could be...the Rorters and Wabbits amalgamate, but We still move to Campbelltown.
I'm sitting by my computer waiting for all those abusive replies:skull_and_crossbones: , but that's ok. At least I feel I am putting what I feel are positive ideas out there for a hopefully sensible debate, rather than one-word replies like rubbish/crap/bullshit :relaxed:

If they were smart they would want each venue used for the appropriate event, so club games at BW and Finals and SOO at ANZ. ANZ really should be our event stadium and BW used for everything else.

If I was running things I would have Eels, Tigers and Bulldogs playing at BW and have the Roosters and Souths playing at the new SFS. Only games at ANZ would be event games!

So the ANZ Stadium will sit dormant for all but 1 SOO game and a maximum of 9 finals games, assuming Melbourne/Brisbane/Canberra/Newcastle/Cowboys don't get home finals games in the finals series. All the while BW has all year tenants with the Wanderers in summer and League teams in winter.

I would play games that are expected to be more than 30000 there, so things like the Easter weekend games and try and build some more public holiday games. But yes it is completely inappropriate for normal club football games when it is for most of those games less than 1/4 full.

I still think it is hilarious that BankWest sucks and is totally inappropriate because it is in Parramatta and the Eels play there . But ANZ is appropriate and should definitely be the stadium for our club ..yet is the home ground for Souths and the Bulldogs and is in the Parramatta LGA ..There has to be a better reason than what has been presented to take BankWest out of the equation . What ever happened to the relentless complaints about ANZ by the supporter base it was soulless? and a horrible place to play !

The reality as many have stated numerous times is that we need one main ground,it has to be our "this is the WTs home ground' ...not just this is the WTs home game played at BW/ANZ/LO/CSS..etc...a home ground gives the players, supporters a distinct advantage because the opposition are playing on our turf..When I have been to LO and CSS they seemed to be our home ground because we had a joint venture with two grounds, either one I would be happy with if it became our home ground...not that this would happen it seems...
Maybe because Iam old school when most teams in the day had their own turf, now adays with stadiums that many play out of doesnt give you that home ground experience as it does on your own turf albeit the revenue raised is alot bigger and thats what most teams need, the dollars speak louder than words these days...hopefully we as a club may find that happy medium where we can call one place home...

I do not believe you have received abusive replies for your "positive idea" I did have a go at you for making assumptions about my motives, which are clearly wrong, but I feel for the most part this topic is being sensibly debated!

Who is going to pay for this beautiful new stadium in Campbelltown?

Depends what the financial incentives are. If we continue to not show up at BW and there is marked reduction in attendance from our games at ANZ, the owners may request we go back to ANZ to get more bums on seats. We get a flat fee to play there IIRC up to a certain gate attendance and if there are less punters attending games the owners will want us to play where we'll turn up.

I would love nothing more than to play our games out of CSS and LO and go back to that old tribal turf mentality. Sadly though those 2 ground will soon be well past their use by date so we need to make some decisions moving forward.

It would also have to be considered how much cheaper it would be to run BW than ANZ as well though. There is much less staff required to run an event at BW when you compare to ANZ.

@Snake IMO it is because however you want to dress it up as not.... Bankwest is Parramatta's home Ground...even marketed on on ticket cites for non RL events as Parramatta's ground..playing them there as our home game is as ridiculous as was playing the Rorters at the WSFS..

ANZ is a neutral venue for the fact that more than one team plays out of there..it is where finals and Grand Finals are held..Our record there since using it is also not to bad ..
