Bottom line is, with the current roster he is dead man walking. There is no way he can get them into 8th place or above. It also has to be noted that no other coach could do it also. Personally if he made us competitive I would be happy, imagine if they could defend connective sets and actually be in the hunt against a top four team after 40 minutes.

If he’s been given the top 8 ultimatum then he should do the sensible thing and walk now. I would be content with a 13-11th placed finish and that we had a crack. Sadly I don’t think Madge has the full belief of the playing group to do such a thing

Storm, Panthers, Roosters, Rabbits, Manly

Would be a lot different to a first 5 rounds of

Dogs, Broncos, NQld, Dragons, Warriors
