How many scoots....

I also like him being first receiver though he is getting a bit slow for it. I could imagine him and Benji try to weave some magic - hope so anyway.

If its on and he takes it on 100% without looking anguished at the ref trying to draw a penalty we should be happy

Expecting you blokes to make HEAPS of noise especially when it comes to our 10 metres

We quickly forget that this is what annoyed many of us about his play. The old trying attempt draw a penalty that you're just not gonna get and then look anguished at the ref. Some days you're on, other's you're wasting your time and the teams play is stifled.

I hope he cracks a few and gets them , but then backs off if it's not on.

This is why Brooks was going backwards - Farah at first receiver over calling. Brooks needs to show he is the boss now.

But I think Cameron got one of those last night. Depends on who you are and what team maybe.

 yeah righto .

Brooks has never controlled a footy side, it's not in him….plain simple . We are at least a better chance of a repeat set with Farah here .

You know Brooks and Wests Tigers are leading the entire NRL in repeat sets in 2018 right..?

As Geo points out Brooks and WT are leading the NRL in repeat sets However my point was that we don't want Farah at first receiver calling the shots over our halves. I would think he has been signed to get our forwards hitting the line and going forward, his short kicking game as a second option to get defences guessing and his experience.

If they can get the balance right it can work out, that is Cleary's job. Farah has to be involved down near the line because they were useless last game.

stop clutching , at least when we miss the 8 at the end of the year i'll be able to feel at ease that we finished the year as NRL repeat sets Champion

What I meant to say then is as second receiver he plays as half like in World Cup game - that is what he is a bit slow for but is still tolerable and exciting.

We will make the 8..why you so cranky..? You brought up repeat sets..I too hope Farah gets us some even better but to say we are a better chance now is not true..

Brooks has been very good in all games this year with the exception of last game against the Raiders where tbh everyone sucked..In the victories over the Storm Roosters he got us home..

Halves and hookers wont shine when your pack keeps getting owned which has happened in every game we have lost..when our pack has matched and bettered the opposition we have won go figure..

C'mon Geo let's not let facts ruin the post - better to make it up and have a go.

However i do hope Farah gives good quick service (without running one or two steps) to the halves to give them more time and Packerlino to be able to run onto the ball. If he does that, he will have done a good job.

IMO it's a not a quick pass out of dummy half that gives our halves the room. It's a quick play of the ball by the tackled player and a doubt in the defending teams mind about rushing up.

That doubt is created when the defending team know there is a 9 who can open them up if the leave a hole.

Line speed is only as good as your slowest player.

I for one hope Farah takes a couple of steps. He needs to engage those markers and draw the defence.

Its been sadly missing.

Brooks will thank him for it as it will open the game up for him.

If he shovels it out Jason Taylor style Brooks is an easy predictable target. All form teams in 2018 have a hooker who is engaging the markers or at the very least keeping the defence in two minds.

Exactly!
