HOW QUICK THEY FALL.

ben barba, was a dally m winner 3 odd seasons ago, then he played up and had to leave town, he was then sent packing from the broncos and found another home at the sharks, how long NOW before the sharks punt him. with young holmes and gorden killing it at the back and jack bird starring at 5/8 looks like benny boy will be meeting the NSW coach on his return. bet the sharks wish they had given benny boy a wide birth and saved all that money.

there's no room for him in that sharks team if they want to keep winning.

maybe if hes happy with a bench utility role he can try to work his way back from there, otherwise he should be dropped.

He looks outstanding Bird. Cant believe the Dragons lost him. They would be looking a lot better with Aiken and Bird together.

As for Barba it could be the best thing for him. From the bench or a Nathan Blacklock type of wing role could suit him more.

He had one great season, and I don't consider him to be a great fullback. He reminds me a lot of Hayne in his early days. Great attacking player from the back, dangerous with a tonne of space to move but missing other key parts of the game to be a considered a well rounded fullback.

It's a shame, split to go back to Brisbane and it all blew up in his face. Guess the grass always seems greener.

Benji is another one. Killed it in 2011! And then just seems to go missing in 2012… What a shame, he was a gem to watch.

I remember another Doggie player that was untouchable in his first year and then unsighted after that.

I think he won the Dally M in that year, and was in reserves the next and ended up at the Maggies!!

He topped the try assist stats in 2012 I believe, that was the year his running game disappeared. I think this was all due to not having a halfback who can control the game. 2013 was a shocker for him.

We should've won the comp in either '10 or '11 on the back of Benji's form.

Yes we had a thumping side led by the best player in the world at that time(arguably with hayne or JT).

We werent far off though!!

Some heartbreakiingly close finals losses that we could have, should have won!

They'll fit him in somewhere. At least they better as he's in my SC team and given Morris and Reynolds going down this weekend, i can't afford to trade him out this week.

Gonna be interesting to see where he goes when u consider his replacement pretty much won them the game and Holmes at FB went well too.

Maybe bench,wing,fb??

Can they stick him back in the halves?

They could move Bird into the centres. I don't think its a sure thing that they'll keep him at 5/8

I would have Barba coming off the bench running at tired forwards. Holmes and Bird are special players. Bird could be there long term 5/8\. I can't beleive St Chockers let him go.

Watch DCE and to a lesser extent Foran flop at their new clubs next year… What people don't give enough credit to is that a great team is what brings out the best in players ...DCE will do jack sh*t at the Titans next 4 years.. But his bank balance won't complain....

barba can play anywhere fullback, wing or halves or utility. he hasn't been that bad at all tbh- he'll be thereabouts. he's a talented player.

I think they'll out Barba at fullback, Gordon and Holmes on the wing, Bird at 5/8\. Otherwise Bird at centre, Barba at 5/8.
I was very impressed by Bird's game yesterday. He looks to have a big future ahead of him
