How will this affect our season now?

Very good question in the paper today I thought:

"Just what effect Sonia Farah's passing has on their captain, and his teammates, for the rest of the season remains to be seen."

Will Robbie & the players draw strength from it? Or could it derail us?

Robbie is a pinnacle player in this side so ultimately it's how Robbie responds + he has to try pick himself up for the biggest origin game of his career. Poor kid.
I'll totally understand if he isn't the same player for the remainder of the season.
Being so close to my mother, I just can't imagine what he's going through right now.

Our Tiger spirit will certainly be tested from here….

I am hoping Robbie and the team will work through the sad situation and come out stronger, it is my view that they will whilst never forgetting.

all we can do as supporters is show up in numbers and really support the team, we have some really star quality players coming back in the next couple of weeks

I think it can go one of two ways, it can be a release to throw yourself into something else, take your mind off it and whatever and even extra motivation at times or alternatively it can be hard to concentrate and football no longer seems as important as it once did and you focus on other things more.

It is clearly tough times for robbie and his family and just wish him the best

Don't know, too early to tell. Hopefully they can push through and come out better, being closer and more motivated.

At the moment it's all about Robbie in regards to the team. The immediate job is to do what we can as group to support him.

Yesterday was very tough.

Players, coaching staff and fans is what I mean when I say GROUP. So make sure plenty of support of for Faf. He loves this club and you fans. He'll appreciate all the support.

Good to see the boys are rallying behind him 99\. He's a consummate professional and he will bounce back, but support is more important than anything else at the moment.

Champions always rise from adversity, and Robbie is the very definition of the word.

It's a tough question, and Tiger99 raises the right points here. While we as fans would like to see this galvanise the team, realistically we need to be empathetic to Farah as this is a situation that none of us would wish on anyone, and right now supporting Robbie and his family should be in everyone's best interests.

Anyone who has had a close family member or a very close friend succumb to cancer will know that most of your grieving has been done and it is a relief when the end finally comes as it means their is no more suffering.

i feel it could be something of lets do it in memory of Mrs Farah and carry us on and drive us through a very tough time. remember young Lleyton Giles in 2010(i think) that young kid is an inspiration to the boys they went to the prelim final that time. this year the boys will more than likely be more affected by this than Lleyton so could be a really interesting thing

i was at a funeral 2 weeks ago for my best mates father who died of the same cancer , he suffered for 9 months from finding out he had it , myself and my mates stood rock solid with our best friend and he is just starting to get back to normal , robbie will need time , the team i feel after yesterday and what rubbish has been printed about the players will make there bond even more solid and robbie will be surrounded by the best and he will slip back into the team when ready and then we will ALL go for the big one as a complete group fans , players , coaches for robbies mum

I will be surprised of Robbie plays this week, if i was in his position i would be having the next 2 weeks off and coming back after the bye

"Forever brothers" was the catch cry following the Wests Tigers' brightest days of 2005\. It also needs to be the catch cry in the dark days. And that applies to all of us!

The best way to deal with things like this is to get back to what you were doing. You need to push on as fast as possible. Get him back on the field I say.

Everyone's different Adman I think Robbie will know what is best for him

And whatever he decides to do he should be supported 100%

Robbie we love ya mate Forget about the team and the club and put yourself and your family first

When it comes to the crunch , Football is fleeting Family is forever

Completely agree. I think a Monday game is a bit unfortunate as it's so far away. A Saturday/Sunday match would have been more ideal (funeral on Wednesday, a Friday nighter would be too soon imo). I'm sure by Friday he'll just be dying to get back onto the paddock. I know when I've had family members pass, it's hardest when there's nothing to do. When you have something to strive towards or to distract you, you can somehow forget about the pain for an hour or 2.

I wasn't saying Adman was wrong Bismark I just don't want Robbie to feel he has to play this weekend if he isn't ready

The last thing he needs is to feel pressured into playing
