Have your Drs. given you any indication of how the chemo may affect you?

Yes full info , besides fatigue which is bad , loss of appetite, weight loss , I’ve lost from Feb to June about 6 kg then once I hit around august I dropped another 14 kg to end of October so about just over 20 kg , more chemo means you may hold weight or drop each week , dry retching the day after chemo is nasty , stomach pain feels like you just got punched and winded 24/7 , need pain killers when I go out , hair loss , then as the end game starts to kick in you can loose bladder and bowl control , major weight loss , confusion can set in , and mine most likely the cancer will spread and attack the stomach and liver , the other nasty is chemo I take can give you blood clots in the heart and lungs , pretty much covers it

Oh bugger 426, you're having a very rough time of it with maybe worse to come.
But it's not hard to see you are a real Aussie battler and you're giving it everything you've got.
Hang in there 426 because yuh never know, there may just be something good and positive ahead for you around the next corner, but you gotta get to the next corner to see what it may be.

What hospital are you being treated at?
I was at Westmead then transferred to St George public...theyre stretched to the limit public health but the staff that have looked after me have been great and made it a bit easier....hope youre getting similar experience

Thanks , stage 3 bordering 4 , no surgery available just chemo to help stop the growth or slow it down , June was 6 to 18 months life span but with a fight could go past that time

I have / had PC, wrapped around it with the main artery stuck in the middle of the bear hug. 50 days in hospital the first time. They said dead in 18 months, but Dr Anubhuv Mattel said nope I gunna throw the sink at you. 12 rounds of chemo over 9 months, chemo Dr said what are we doing this for you’re fkd, go and live what’s left. I said we doing chemo and then the Whipple. Mittal said the chemo made it unwrap and lean out so he could snip it off at the bottom. Saved my life. I haven’t worked since due to the chemo side effects, which suck, but I’m alive.
If you have not spoken to doctor Mittal do so, that’s my advice.

Royal Brisbane then transferred to Redcliffe , good folks doing a job , the thing I hate most of all is the fact where you go for chemo is packed , sometimes I wait 2 hours before I get a chair to do the chemo , young , old and in between the shit attacks everyone ,

Yes the Billy took about 6 weeks to get right , water and clear soup , jelly , for first 2 weeks then loads of clear liquids and lite meals , I was lucky , no havent spoken to the Doc , I spoke to surgeon at Royal brisbane and got second opinion from leading surgeon in Sydney RPA hospital both said same , to do any surgery the chemo would need to stop the growth and shrink tumour which would or could unwrap a tiny bit , chances are at 3 to 5 % I’ve only done 4 chemo sessions , now I’m getting a port put into chest so I skipped a few sessions and just enjoyed normal life a bit , done some bowls , shopping , re spooled some fishing rods and cleaned them up ready , organised new aircon so wife don’t need to do it later , now gonna get new lounge again so it’s done , bit of painting to be organised just inside so busy bit not overly crook just the stomach pain from the tumour pressing on nerves

When I started work HR were called personnel, and they were like Switzerland, they were Independent from management and would be the people you talked to if you had a problem. Yeah I’m mid major renovation. I got a few mates rates tradesmen in to help me get to a point the Mrs could finish with out me and knew the good tradesmen who’d look after her. There was a few other crazy things that went through my head, I had to learn the Rubicks cube, went fishing and different stuff we did together.

Port = Pic line?
I had a pic line in. It took them a few goes swapping arms, by the end they had it in the wrong arm and more blood on the floor than inside me, and then Mrs BF walks in and nearly passes out, she thought I was dying right there. Not all nurses are as good as each other.

Port is a round plastic device , they cut a slot in your chest feeds a line through you to main artery push it into artery then join it to the port , once done they stitch the port in , it sticks out about 20 mm and is the side of a fifty cent coin , they look terrible but they take blood test and do chemo straight into the port in, just use special needle to push through skin, never miss but inputs done under lite a drug , your awake , I’m getting chemo vie it that arvo , port in early , see doc then chemo , should be fun I think ☹️
