Humphreys and Skando disappointed with Campbelltown's crowd

11000 at manly & 9000 at parra last week….sydney crowds been crap for a while

Sydney crowds are always crap in this period. I would say it's a few factors, I wouldn't say they're great excuses but I am sure they contribute:

1\. The origin period - Not only is it deflating for the fans of the clubs with the missing players but it is also deflating for the opposition fans that their side is playing against a side that is not at full strength.

2\. Mid season lull - The honeymoon period of the first couple of rounds is over, but at the same time we are not near enough to finals to start thinking that some of these matches will have a serious bearing on the teams season.

3 - The winter months, from May to mid August, the weather gets very chilly particularly in Sydney's western suburbs. With all the night matches that are played now, the non die hards just don't see the point in going out and sitting in the cold for a couple of hours.

Then there's the usual factors such as prices, transport, where the fan bases are located and ill even through in the socio-economic status of some areas where people cannot afford to go to matches.

You picked two teams with appalling fine weather supporters - that is so unrepresentative its laughable you old garbage collecting clown!!!!!

Yoss was right - your hypocrisy holds no bounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cambo people are too busy buying expired devon for their kids school lunches & scratchies on a sunday arvo - d-head!!!

You've had nothing but criticism for what is a well-run organisation - yet you offer no suggestions as to improvement aside from the vague reference to "change" in the coaching ranks!!

Take some dementia pills (and I don't joke because my dad has suffered from dementia for years) - because you've become just a contrary nuisance and you have lost the respect of me along with many of your fellow forum bloggers!

You've actually become a parody of yourself!

LOL…oh no, Ive lost Reds 'spec!

I didnt 'choose' those games, bar the Souths Dogs game where both teams share a ground with much undercover seating (a game that got less than half of what was expected)....the games I mentioned were the only other two **Sydney games**....a point I stressed, a point you missed.

:wtf
There is nothing wrong with the teams you've picked Ink.
Appalling fine weather supporters, what a joke.
Suddenly we can make lame excuses for Manly and Parra, but come down on Campbelltown supporters for getting a respectable crowd against an out of town team.

Never heard of these expired Devon sandwiches Red, you seem to know all about them. Hope you pack your own lunches !!!!!

Blockers comments hold more value then any of us nuffies….its clear a few people dont have any respect for one of the toughest forwards to ever play the game.

Fancy blocker calling our team by their nickname the TIGERS.What a travesty,

Why do you think balmain chose to keep their nickname they knew that's what most people would recognise them as.

Tigers played sharks who don't travel warriors an out of town team and roosters who don't travel and another out of town team in the storm for the last round....we still gets crowds.

All the games that would draw bigger crowds like souths v tigers are played at sfs

I couldn't care less how Blocker referes to them. Hardly a travesty to refer to us by our name 😕

Blocker could have been the greatest player the game had seen, that doesn't mean every comment he makes is accurate, relevant or thoughtful. I don't like what Blocker has become and I find a lot of his opinions are designed to provoke a reaction. Thats the role he plays in his media personae. On the odd occasion he talks about the shape of the game he is informative

It doesn't no but that's just your opinion isn't it.Hes doing his job

So its ok to insult the guy calling him all the names under the sun.wake up

He'd fit in well here, he wouldnt know a decent player if he was right in front of him

Shame to see true old on-field hard nuts turn into babbling clowns
Mario
Chief
Brohman
Vautin
Blocker

His 'job' is not to make comments about strategies, performances or to interpret the flow of the game. His 'job' is to be the big, boofy, hard nutted, comedic sidekick.

I loved Blockers contribution to the Tigers, his passion, his long service and the emotion he showed on the day he retired. I do not like what he has become. Just my opinion. Haven't called him any names, assume you're talking of others?

and you would ink… pull the other one

They are doing their jobs just like they did on the field.

Yes, I would. :unamused:
Called for Farah for origin for a while, Blocker seemed to think he wasnt up to it….remember that???

Lol ink.lots of experts were wrong on that one…2 of my 5 brothers go for manly and even they said farah should have been there.

Lol not the sharpest tool is Blocker. If there was a Blocker pearls of wisdom thread like there is for Loz, it could fill 20 pages easily. I've heard some beauties over the years

Anyway probs should stick to the topic
