Steven HUMPHREYS IS ON Triple M Radio Tonight at 6PM. Will be interesting to hear what he has to say.
The members email this afternoon was a step forward for the club & us fans! However there's nothing like hearing it in person.
Im sure Rabs Warren won't back down from asking the hard questions.

Apparently Humphreys was just on Talkin Sport also - i;ll be tuning into the podcast to hear that to.
Exciting times.
Go the 20's & reggies this Weekend!

It was only a breif interview on Triple M - the plug/ad this afternono sounded like he was going to be sitting in with the drive show hosts…
SH Denied that Blake Ayshford was being shopped around & said that the club is committed to supporting him back to form! Good news (or is it bad new we're not in the market for Jennings ?) 😕

Glad to hear the clubs opened up negotiations with Robbie to extend his current term (No-brainer).
WT Forever!!!

I missed the interview and now am listening to Ray Warren carry on. What an embarrassment he is to the elderly out there. Tim has been "restructred" and now it's time for Rabbits to have the same done for him. A complete boofhead.

He was just on 2ue as well said mainly the same thing as the members statement, most important thing is robbie wants to stay and they want robbie. What is most up setting is the players have being trying to run the show this cannot happen he hasn't said that but that is how it is looking. Clean it out and lets go forward. Long Live OUR WEST TIGERS whoever is coaching and playing if you want be here we will love you and support you.

And that's not inconsistent with what CWH and Beau have stated.

CW was told his contract wouldn't be renewed past next year but that it would be honoured. The club indicated it wouldn't stand in his way if he could get a long term deal elsewhere. He did and a release was granted.

Beau and the club agrees to terms but no formal contract had been signed. Beau, annoyed and the clubs refusal to extend CWHs contract and that he club had yet provided him with a formal contract, walked and agreed to terms with the Sharks.

Nothing anyone has said is inconsistent with the above.

Well I don't expect our CEO to say , Robbie's sick of the amateur hour at the Tigers , he is going as well

I heard the Talkin Sport interview.

He advised that ball is in Sheens court but they would love for him to stay at the club. He advised that Benji has been fairly outspoken in the media and that they have agreed to disagree on certain aspects, but their relationship is strong. He advised Benji that he did not have the same opinion towards the "culture" of the club being the most important aspect eluding to Benji's comments on the Footy Show.

Tunksy asked him if we were after Jennings and Humph said he couldn't elaborate but they are always looking to make decisions regarding the stability of their roster.

No coaches have been approached as yet but the sub commitee would be commencing this immediately.

He apologised for the delay in providing information but said it was a delicate matter. They made it public due to the ongoing speculation. He took a massive shot at the Telegraph for that completely fabricated story today about Sheens quitting. His quote was something along the lines of …if there are no direct quotes in the article then it gives you an indication as to its authenticity.

LOL

Yeah right

Rabs gave it to a caller for questioning Humptys email today, the caller mentioned incompetence - Rabs eventually agreed there had been inncompetence as well….yet he still stuck by "My mate Stephen Humpreys and his dad was my mate too"
Rabs, Graeme Hughes and some other in the media...theyre Sheens & humptys cronies, old pals....its personal for them and they cannot give an objective opinion

Connections going way back to 80's

End of the day WT needed a new coach and new voice.

Not that Sheens was an incapable coach full stop. Just past his used by date with WT.

That is a very True analogy and not only for rugby league clubs but in business and life as well

I have seen this snide comment posted a few times now as meant to denigrate Kevin Humphreys and by extension Steven Humphreys. You guys are either….young or senile with bad memories... because K Humphreys was just about the best administrator that BDRLFC and NSWRL ever had, leading them VERY professionally and successfully through some of the most difficult but ultimately prosperous times.

The "crime" that Kevin Humphreys supposedly committed that seems to have tarnished him with short sighted people was a loan to KH that was repaid IN FULL WITH INTEREST prior to any investigation. It was not illegal and probably happens in every corportation.

Research what John Quayle says about K Humphreys. Without K Humphreys there would not be State of Origin.

If Steven Humphreys ends up being as good as Kevin Humphreys, this club is in good hands.

Lets stop this snide defamation in its tracks.

Totally agree. Kevin Humphreys owned up to his misdeeds and took his punishment. You might expect him to walkaway from everything at that point but Balmain Tigers was his life and he continued to be involved as an ordinary members. I still remember his name being mentioned as moving or seconding procedural motions well into the 2000s. The man had a gambling problem and it cost him his position in the game but he dedicated a pretty large chunk of his time to the club he was passionate in.

And to imply that Stephen Humphreys is dishonest because of his father's issues is frankly disgraceful.

Please, I don't want to sink the boot to someone who did a lot of good for rugby league, but what you have written is incorrect. He was investigated, but it was covered up - blatant corruption.

Please read:

Gary, thats a newspaper article. I'd consider a Royal Commission a more thorough investigation and hardly a cover up (Yes I know what you mean about the initial Farqhuar incident). In the end all monies repaid and Humphreys was fined $4K. I do take back what I said about illegalities but even thats not clear cut.

What is clear cut is what a good and effective administrator he was for Balmain & NSW. Thats the only context that S Humphreys should be involved.

My initial post was to end this involvement of KH in the analysis of SH, lets try and leave it there.
