Hurrell on the move?

The questions the club has to ask when recruiting a player

1 do we need that particular player
2 are we weak in that position
3 is he better than what we have
4 why is he on the market
5 will he embrace the culture of the club
6 will he attract bums to seats
7 and is he value for money and what effect will it have retaining players who are coming off contract

I personally don't think Hurrell ticks enough boxes and my gut feeling his best years might be behind him, he reminds me bit of Idris, you never know what your going to get from game to game

The fact that he has been caught up with some off field issues does not bode well with me. I would hope the tigers recruit players who are mature , well rounded football players who can also play on and off the field. What you do off the field and how you conduct yourself on the field is so important for being the right fit for tigers football.

Appears this may be a gap filler by the media. He was offered a release last year and wanted to stay to prove his worth. Titans, Warriors and his Management have denied it.

Ayshford has the right centre spot for his experience and better communicator inside and outside with Lolohea. Warriors have been concentrating on Defence more than ever this year so this selection may reflect that.

Just because he hasn't been selected for this game doesn't mean he hasn't a big part to to play. Another reason to miss round 1 is to get his running style right. It really knocked him so his contact commitment may be a little sub par.

and the dragons put 40 points on them

True enough, and lots have been written on our forums about that. The good thing is getting the train wreck out of the way in a trial rather than round 1 as usual. Quite frankly the squad is too good to play like that. It is attitude, the players have admitted that. Tomorrow will tell where they are.

😱pen_mouth: Just had to check in to see where they are..I'm thinking if it was Konrad on the end of those charges to the line and not Ayshford held up 3 times the result may have been different…

Glad the got part 2 the trail wreck out of the way Rd 1...Hope they give it to the Broncos at Suncorp..
