I reckon the possum man and old mate at Faulconbridge Farm are probably the same bloke.

You’re probably right 😂
I wonder if the fella at Faulco farm would wave Tigers flag 😂

Currawongs Magpies

Few years ago i watched a magpie shape up to a Currawong and I thought the Currawong would win ...
Magpie kicked arse !

I had the battle of the Kookaburra and the Magpie on my balcony yesterday. The Kookaburra stood its ground.

Giggle parrots are fiesty birds. Nuggets with wings.

Cause an earthquake when they decide to bash their head against the balustrade out front. Wakes up the dead

Can't be worse than a possum growling on your roof.

Those things are mean spirited little buggers.

Spoken like a true mountain man.
Are possum man signs still around?

Yeah I think there’s still one on a fence just west of St George’s Cres Faulco on the highway

Lol always wanted to call that number.

A nightmare?

On GF morning '05 I had a maggie basically just hovering right in front of my car's windscreen as I was driving down the street. Was stoked with that at the time, saw it as an omen👍

Have two come to my place every day for meat, they are fantastic, they come to the door or in the Garage

& wonder around. Just fantastic birds.

Great picture GEO.

A magpie got me a beauty the other day. I usually feel safe from swooping magpies when I'm out riding because I wear a helmet, a peaked cap, and sun glasses, so I'm well protected.

But this magpie swooped in low from the side and smacked me in the side of the head. It stung and he left my ear bleeding. It's hard to like magpies in spring.

I live on a rural residential block @tigerbenji and have Magpies here ever day and never have a problem with them.
But when the Maggie's are close to the house the Willy Wagtails give 'them' a hard time by jumping around on on them to try to scare them away....it's fascinating to watch.
In fact nature as a whole is fascinating.

Definitely dangerous when they ambush you from nowhere. Especially if the shock causes a fall on the bike.

Willy Wagtails are the bird version of Tommy Raudonikis. Tenacious little buggers they are, lucky they're not the size of maggies/crows.

I can understand the fear Magpies instill in people when they swoop I have had many altercations with them on the golf course, having said that, where I live in the Southern Highlands of NSW we have a creek run past our property and we have a large array of wildlife around us..the wild ducks come onto our yard with the babies, sometimes up to 8/10 young ones,we feed them chick starter crumble and bread, they are thriving..the Magpies come as well and we feed them scraps plus bread etc, they follow me around like chooks and I have never had any trouble from them,,,we have a possum that comes around at night and eats some cat food with the cat..unbelievable to watch...
the funniest thing I saw was the possum walked up behind the cat and sniffed him,the cat jumped about 3 feet in the air, looked at the possum and kept eating

I've never had a problem with maggies, but minor birds are a shocker. They attack in pairs. Last year I had one swoop down to almost pavement level then come straight up at my eyes, while its partner swooped down at me from the side.
Glasses broken, head cut open, cheek and nose lacerated.
I hate minor birds

Cockatoos are a very vindictive bird. The bloke next to me used to feed the rotten things and when he moved out they went on a rampage with all of his neighbours properties doing a lot of damage.Absolute pests

I love Cockatoos, destructive little buggers but hilarious at the same time. Used to have families of them come and visit and show off. One of the funniest birds on the planet.
