If Taylor goes what then!

IMO. Robbie can't cope with a loss so hasn't the strength of character to be a captain or coach. The board has given Taylor the job of changing the culture of the club and that' what he is doing regardless of how tough it is. It will take time and we need to be patient and supportive.

You would have thought by now he had plenty of practice coping with losses!!

We hire the Walker Brothers from the Ipswich Jets and watch them go. They are going to change the way NRL is played once they get a coaching gig and they would work well with our squad. We could probably sign them and pay out JT his final two years for cheaper than it would be to pay Robbie to play elsewhere for the next two years. WIn Win in my book.

Re Farah. – S.M.H September 1st " In fact, the Tigers have had little success since their 2005 grand final win and it is claimed that rather than consoling or encouraging teammates after a loss they have to tip-toe around him because of his reaction to defeat. Farah revealed after a golden point loss in 2010 he deals with defeat by shutting off from family, friends and teammates, and has gone to such lengths as to turn his phone off for 36 hours after a game".

Would be a great idea. They have already been offered a few gigs in the 20's but are holding out for a NRL top job.

Cant believe all the negativity out there and the 'armchair' coaches! We finished a golden point off 11th place! It doesn't help our young team to be running down the coach/board. Farah statement-: "Taylor is a great coach". Now let's see the negativity begin again!!

Golden point off 11th, when in fact we finished equal last, missing out by F/A, that sounds soooooooo much worse, but hey spin it how you like..

Probably proves how much the comp has evened up from 7th -16th 851

Have a look at past seasons , last gets 16-20 points

Yeh you are right Happy, but I was just proving a point, you can spin it how you like, but there are 16 teams and each team finish's positions 1 through 16, we finished 15th.
But you can make that sound better with spin, but you can also make it slightly worse with a different spin.

Correct me if I'm wrong (can't remember where I picked this up from) but isn't that what Alan Jones promised? Didn't work out very well….

Very wrong. If memory serves me right Alan Jones said that Balmain was sick of coming second, he fixed that in a hurry we went to the wrong end of the table under him.

I don't think anyone can compare the Walker Brothers to Alan Jones. Alan Jones never played or coached rugby league before he got the Balmain job, which he got because he did the job for nothing.

The Walker Brothers both played to a good level and have done a wonderful job with the Ipswich Jets as coaches over the last few years in the second best rugby league competition in Australia.

I have watched the way the Ipswich Jets play, it is exciting but winning rugby league. They will be great coaches and will change the way NRL is played. I would take them over JT in a heartbeat. JT is tactically inept and has no people skills.

Farah knows his days of influence is coming to an end. He knows he is near the end of his career, if new coaches come in he will be the last person to rock the boat again. Plus I have a feeling that the Walker Brothers and their style will be respected by players. They have a plan, it is easier to get players to follow an exciting plan than to be told go out and hit it up for 5 and then put a bomb up.

There's no reason that it couldn't transfer to the NRL,
I hope that someone grabs them. The game needs a different way of playing , rather than the wrestling crap that we now have.

We'll change the name from Wests Tigers to Wobbies Wobblies. Hire the Wiggles as coaches. We'll get a massive increase in members, all under 6.
Instead of Taylorball we'll have hot potato, hot potato.

Sounds a lot more fun, then what's been dished up this season

If Taylor goes then Happy will take over as Head Coach, with TT as his Assistant. Ink will be Head of S & C and Geo the Waterboy. Hobbo will take over as Mascot, FT as Chief Medical Officer and Tigermama as Head Cheerleader and CEO.

Farah will be ecstatic with all the new appointments and everything will be sweet! Top 4 here we come! :sign:

Lol Flip. We would probably do a better job in running the club.
But we need you to be the CEO, and I'll stick with Cheerleading.
Got some great moves to teach the girls.

I have already allocated her a job as Head Cheerleader AND CEO

More than happy to assist the Cheerleaders with fit outs…..as the Medical officer would hate for there costumes to be to tight and stopping any possible blood circulation . OH and S is my main concern .

 Bet you would

Flip that's way too much pressure to put on Geo

Filling water bottles and then asking him to then take them onto the field 😱pen_mouth:

Maybe ask him to get the leftover tape off the field after games

No better not the different coloured tape …......

Maybe just let him run onto the field holding the mascots hand

:roll

Actually that's probably not wise either come to think about it

Trying to untangle Geo from Taupau's legs while he is having a hissy fit so we can get the game started isn't going to be a good look either

James Hooper raised an interesting question about what happens if Farah stays, plays first grade and we get off to a bad start. Will JT get the blame? If so, he obviously had a plan in place to prevent it, but was crucified for trying to implement it.
