When we beat the Warriors Taylor the rest of the coaching staff as well as the players cheerleaders and ballboys will have done their job…

Exactly. They need to do it the week after as well and continue that throughout the season.

We need to win games consistently. Then we make the finals. Anything less than that isn't really good enough is it.

Top 10 will be a success for this side

I reckon Taylor will keep his job based on a Top 10 finish

I think 10th through to 6th place is marginal but that is only because it's not all on Taylor. If we appear well coached and the team appears to be moving forward he should definitely keep his job. If not then we would have to reassess.

I think Taylor has done a couple of things really well. I think his team selections have been good and his recruitment is in the same category. I also think that he will let players go if they appear to not be worth what we are paying them to stay. It'll come down to performances though. From my perspective I hope we kill it and he stays.

The warriors will take some time to work together as a team. I believe there are too many new players in key positions for immediate success.

With Luke ,RTS and Johnson they have a lot of players who could beat us off there own backs

I think that's the biggest problem

And if the Warriors click 😱pen_mouth:

If wests-tigers beat the warriors, then only need 12 more wins 😛ray: , to ensure a top 8 finish.
Because 13 wins= 26 points, & 2 x bye =4
30 point's will ensure a top 8 finish.

I don't which will happen first this season , wests tigers making top 8 or them winning with my beloved score of **25 -18** :master:

I was disappointed to see the Dragons flog them on the weekend.

Hopefully it saps some confidence rather then fire them up :brick:

Saints put 46 on them and the warriors had a full strength side, and saints are no great team, the warriors are far from the unbeatable team some of you forumers think

Hope your right mate. IMO he should at least be allowed to see out his contract. He proved he has ability, with Souths and Parra - getting them both into the finals when they were in the cellar. All fans should be uniting behind the coach, club and players . Together we will win, divided we fall.

people seem to be intimidated by the Warriors size.
Maybe with the reduced interchange teams with the big fellas will struggle a bit this year.
Either way I'm feeling good about the tigers chances against any team this year. Go boys, get into them

I've got a good feeling about this game, (prepared to put money on it too), although the feeling doesn't extend to the whole season unfortunately.

Some players seem to grow an arm and leg against us - Isaac Luke one of those. My feeling is that if we dont contain him we are in for a very long afternoon. Hope that Cherry matches him, but not sure Luke is the hooker I would want him facing first up, as our starting hooker.

I'm strangely optimistic about this one, for reasons already alluded to. Big Poly lads labouring in 30 odd degrees with a reduced interchange. The backs will be where this game will be won, JLJ will need to be up for it.

I agree CB,however after JT was saying that positions are up for grabs,I think the whole team against the Warriors, should be doing everything they can to prove how capable they are…this is a golden opportunity for them all to prove they want to succeed in our colours, for the club and themselves..
I hope that they really knuckle down and do their very best,if they get beat sobeit,at least they gave it their best shot.....I will give them and JT 100 percent in support...go Tigers...

Most likely be playing in 22 degrees, heat wont be a factor.

I love that. Someone confident enough to predict the temperature at Campbelltown a good 10 days prior to the event. If you are right mate, I hope you get back on here and remind us all.

Just beat them…please....by 2 points, by 40 points, I don't care....I never hear the end of it when we lose 😛ray:

Hello guys from a Warriors supporter just giving a bit of our fan perspective. I quite like the look of particularly your starting 13\. I was impressed with Littlejohn at Manly and I reckon he could be a real bonus for you blokes.

As for us, doom and gloom after the Dragons trial. However we usually smash someone in the last trial and fall in a heap at the first game. Everyone talks about the spine we have but the word coming out from the club is that defence is the key. They should know that but this is the Warriors. Didn't work against the Dragons but a few embarrassed players have held up their hands over their attitude for that game. Why that attitude is another very long discussion.

Our best signing this year has been Jim Doyle as CEO. He signed Luke and RTS but has been shaking the tree at the Warriors getting the front office right. Something that has been missing since inception really. Before management were more concerned with jersey sales than on field results. Doyle wants results and expects everyone to perform on and off field. He has sorted out at least one player agent already.

On field it appears Gavet is a certainty for the bench along with Vete and Lisone. Otherwise pretty settled except for Centre. A log jam of Hurrell, Kata, Lolohea, Ayshford there, my gut tells me (and there is a lot of it) that the starting team (IMO) will be RTS, Lolohea, Hurrell, Kata Vatuvei, Robson, Johnson, Matulino, Luke, Lillyman, Hoffman(C), Henry/Thompson, Mannering, Vete, Lisone Gavet, Thompson/Henry.

I am a Warriors fan but looking at the odds if you want to forego the Friday night fish and chips a quiet $10.00 on your mob mightn't hurt. Our blokes will come right but it maybe a bit early.

Anyway guys best of luck for the season, we will all be cheering and screaming in equal measure as usual.

Thanks for the update Watcher.

How are the Warrior's fitness-wise? I watched the Brumbies v the Hurricanes the other night. The Canes were huge but looked like they had spent too much time in the gym and not enough on aerobic fitness. The Brumbies blew them away.

I was thinking that an up-tempo game by the WT on a warm night with reduced interchange might find the big Warriors side out, especially if their match fitness is not what it should be.

A welcome post from a foreigner. Must be even harder being a Warriors fan than us struggling WT supporters, especially when you look at your rosters at the end of most seasons and have to shake your heads at what should have been.

Well said watcher, the main theme that I was impressed with is that the CEO Doyle,is really shaking the whole club up..We have needed someone like him for quite a while and it appears we may have found one,it remains to be seen..like most business, very good management filters on through the entire structure of the business and really does make for success..I appreciate people like yourself watcher, you obviously love your club and rugby league, giving an opposition club positive input and a respectful post is admirable..

Thanks for that guys, my belief is any sport is supposed to be a positive thing and makes it more enjoyable to follow.

Warriors fitness looking very good. Hurrell for instance is exceeding all targets and is a different body shape this year and his speed is back. He and his agent were fronted and fined by Doyle last year and it seems to have woken him up. Competition across the squad helps as well. Isaac Luke apparently taking no slacking along with Hoffman.

Simon Mannering after 6 years as captain (poor bastard) can just play now, and he is a great player, Ligi Sao and Thomas Leuluei on injured list along with David Fusitua, who should be on General Hospital.

Are Wests getting closer to sorting things out off field.? p.s. that is not a dig.

As always with lobster.our mob it is the head space, at times they show the brains of a concussed. From long experience we are excited but wary. The good thing is we are guaranteed to go to heaven as we have suffered enough following this shower.
