I'M EXCITED!!!

I was just sitting here thinking about the possibility of another coach coming in and i literally felt shivers run up my spine and a surge of electricity run through my entire body. To just imagine a team without a boys club, where players get dropped for poor performance, players picked in the proper positions, replacing one injured player without a 4 position reshuffle and no wingers on the bench, its just too good to be true. If and when Sheens gets shown the door, my enthusiasm will sky rocket

Cmon you spineless board, do the right thing tomorrow. Not just for the club but for the fans. Everyone involved with the club either playing, supporting or other could use a massive breath of fresh air

I'M EXCITED!!!!

it is pretty much 100 percent guaranteed that Sheens will be shown the door, it would be nice to have Matt Parish he is 6 wins with 0 losses overseas but who knows, Warriors have offered Shane Flanaga the coaching job for next year.

hopefully it will happen. The board is probably nervous about up coming season ticket sales.
I think they have been on this forum getting a feel of the situation

one win 6 losses? i thought it said in another article 6 wins 0 losses my bad then sorry guys.

Me too mate. Can't wait to see an end to the boys club. I'm also slightly worried about who they'll pick as the new coach. I'm worried they'll opt for someone from within. The more Parish is spoken of the more I like the sound of Brown.

Atm i'll take anyone, i'm done with Sheens. I don't see whats wrong with taking on a first yr coach at all. I'll happily take Matt Parish. Would be exciting to see what he has to offer. Sheens on the other hand we do know and are sick to death of it

Yes we've been needing a fresh voice and approach for a few years now and I'm excited by the prospect of a new coach, also. I think it will do wonders for the club as a whole. And apart from Ryan leaving, I'm not that concerned about the other losses, at present or even last year, tbh. As long as Farah and Marshall stay.

We've all been banging on about getting rid of under-performing players and now when it finally happens everyone is having a hissy fit! Heighington and Ayshford are pretty ineffectual in most games. Unlike Ayshford, Heighno does give his all in matches, but in reality, he is pretty average and ineffectual these days. A 3 year deal would've been a big mistake. Like Sheens, I think Heighno might benefit from a new atmosphere. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Pettybourne and Thompson can do in place of these guys and yes we've got a few older blokes in Tuqiri, Anasta and Kite (tba), but we need these guys. They still have plenty to offer on the field in experience alone, and there is heaps of good young talent coming through, who will need some mentoring from the likes of these former Internationals.

As far as the new coach goes, I have no idea who they'll be getting, but Parish looks to be favourite and he will probably be cheaper than the likes of Brown or Potter. Personally, I would rather Steve Folkes, but as long whoever is appointed has a good head for the game, won't put up with mediocrity and is uncompromising, I'll be happy. Now, if we can only offload Moltzen and Reddy and sign a real halfback, my dream will be complete

Whoever it is will need to be cheap because we are spending our money on paying sheens out so we won't have any left for the next 2 yrs to pay a big name new coach so no one who coaches fg here or the uk. It will be an assistant from somewhere because they are cheap

As long as they play for the new coach, earn their positions, play for their team mates, be the player you wanna play nex to….play with pride and attitude, dont dog it ....unlike weve seen recently and obviously with the first grade squad

Its hopefully a fresh start, new attitude....I want to support this team again, not be fed up & disenchanted with players playing for themselves, players bitching at each other onfield, players showing self preservation as opposed to taking one for the team....I wanna be proud of my team....they dont have to win to do that, they just have to show theyre having a real go

And then left for personal reasons

I know I'm wasting my time repeating this , but look at his whole record before you judge :deadhorse:

Its funny I have been banging the anti sheens drum for so long and now the days is nearly here I have a nothing feeling. Like others I really dont care if its Parish,Taylor,Potter or Brown. I just hope their is enough money in the war chest for him to attract his own support team and introduce a player or two of his choice.

If we can get both Benji and Farah on side with the new coach 2013 could be a great year

Sounds like Timbo could be punted upstairs. Still on the payroll, sitting in a smoking jacket in a Smokey Dawson recliner, pipe in mouth as he passes on his pearls of wisdom to Matty Parish: "Have you considered young Sironen at fullback?" "I'll keep it mind Tim…"

Very well said!

the longer this plays out, the more im liking the idea of payten as coach.
i think he'd do the club wonders, both on and off the field.

Depends if Matt Parish is strong enough to ignore Sheens for long enough until Tim packs up his thermos and goes back to Townsville.

if you believe that then I give you more credit than you deserve
