In a perfect world

AHX is correct. Ennis is clearly the best nsw hooker this year.
Where we're the howls of protest when he wasn't picked?

Some double standards being applied on here.

True, Ennis has been great this year, but you have to admit, his Origin form is diabolical! Some players just can't produce the goods in rep games, even though they are playing great week to week at club level. I guess it has a lot to do with team dynamics. Mitchell Pearce is another one who comes to mind - awesome form for the Roosters in past seasons, terrible at Origin level.

As for Peats - I think the calls for his inclusion in Origin are premature, he's not there yet, imo. Farah was the right choice this year and he played well.

i haven't been seen Robbie winning many games for NSW lately - with all due respect Flippedy.

Serious question AHX - do you really think either Ennis or Peats would've won NSW the series? I always thought it was up to one _team_ to beat another _team_, not left to one particular player, but pardon my ignorance :unamused:

Wests Tigers coach Jason Taylor has been widely criticised for dumping his highest contracted player Robbie Farah to the NSW Cup.

Plenty of reports have been describing the sacking as the result of a feud between them.

Everyone is so far off the mark. Do rugby league fans think for one minute Taylor would put his job on the line by dropping Farah because of a feud?

Absolute rubbish.

Taylor is too shrewd a rugby league brain to place his contract in jeopardy by getting rid of Farah to the detriment of the team winning.

Taylor said it was a hard decision to make, but he strongly believed his side had a better chance of beating the Dragons on Sunday afternoon at ANZ Stadium with Farah not in the side.

That’s a coaches call and despite the fact Farah is on 247 games in his 13th year with the the club. In that time he’s scored 284 points from 61 tries, 12 goals, and 16 drop goals.

The other reason Taylor’s been pilloried is for dropping the NSW Origin hooker. That too has a very valid reason behind it.

On form alone, Farah was the third best hooker in NSW behind the Sharks Michael Ennis, and Parramatta-Titans Nathan Peats.

The only reason Farah got the nod over Ennis or Peats for the three Origin games this season was the loyalty card given by NSW coach Laurie Daley.

But Ennis, in particular, was streets ahead of Farah on form.

Did you write this article for theroar.com AHX?

it's not a perfect story - but it has some validity - don't necessarily agree with last sentence in story - I would change WAS to IS - but apart from that - what if this were the truth of the matter. Thanks Newtown - courageous post yourself -

i hope this helps your case - i think you need more than just a name

So what is the reference to the perfect world? If ennis played origin would there be less pressure on taylor in making this move?

For Taylor's decision to be wrong Farah doesn't need to be better than Ennis or Peats, he just needs to be better than Dene Halatau.

AHX can you confirm my conspiracy theory ?

Taylor knows we can beat St George, so he comes out, says Robbie is cramping our style and drops him saying it will be the reason why we can win

Next week he knows the pressure will be on him from all to pick Robbie again but this time he knows we really dont have much chance of winning

So he picks Robbie and we lose, he comes out and says "see we lost because Robbie cramped our style"

Have i got that right?
Pretty Amateur plan but i had to think at Taylors level.

Cronulla are special this year - something is brewing. It came when Ennis came. Correct me If I'm wrong.

It came when the players found a peptide that cant be detected!
