Jarryd Hayne was a good target on Friday night.

@Andrew said:@stryker said:Going to the Footy or any sport for me isn't just about supporting the team…it is the whole carnival, talking crap with strangers, sledging opposition players, singing songs, giving the touches and security blokes a bit of crap, having a few beers and screaming for my team.
I have sat in the stands before and I find them completely sterile. Everyone is quiet except for the odd know it all who commentates the whole bloody game. I am not advocating soccer style riots....just Aussie larrakinism. That is because I don't subscribe to boredome and am always looking for fun.
I feel sorry for those kill joys who are in here whining....you must be terrific to spend time with?
I don't think the "kill joys" are complaining about anything you wrote above.
The complaints are due to the smoking anywhere near anyone who doesn't want smoke near them and the throwing of beer cans that might hit anyone let alone a kid and/or the elderly…. Imagine if one of those stray beer cans had smashed tigergran god rest her soul straight in the face? Or a 4yo girl gets her face torn off by a beer can?
Which I think are all pretty reasonable! But that's just me.

If you can't handle your piss the pub is the place to be and act that way , I can drink 12 to 15 schooners and still wouldn't act like that , throwing cans ? whatever you reckon… Moron yourself , keyboard warrior.

@stryker said:Yeah because if you sit on the hill you are bombarded by cigarette smoke, get drenched in beer and are collected by flying beer cans….what an over reaction. Did any of you notice this incident? I was there and didn't so it can't have been very bad. Once again, I am not a fan of chucking full beer cans....but fair dinkum, if you are into taking your family over to sit in the rowdy section, you have to expect an environment that isn't exactly kid friendly.

@Black & Gold said:Firstly, I never smoke in grandstands or at any place where smoking is banned. The Leichardt hill or any hill for that mater is an exception because its pretty much a nostalgic place to be.
@Black & Gold said:Im just happy that for every precious person here, yes yossarian, you're one of them, there are just as many of us that disagree with you.
@Black & Gold said:The Leichardt hill is for people to enjoy the grass sitting or standing, watch the footy, chant out loud, drink alcohol if you want to, be a bit of a lout…....I have NEVER seen a fight on the Leichardt hill or anything sssooooo terrible that I need to sook about it....

@otho said:Jeez. The things some people are complaining about are a major drawcard for LO. One of the last places to get near the field, enjoy the drunken antics, smoke a cig, drink a can and go back in time for awhile. What has this country come to? It's only for a couple of hours, in an open air, free movement area. The school marms have taken over. LO is done if this is how it's going to be. ANZ, LO, same diff, now. To hell with it.
