Internal rumblings?

talk about Days of our Lives drama….

so some players are dissatisfied with others and now the theory is to dog it out on the field until they get their own way? is that right?

Ah,it was not that long ago that (5 weeks I think) that everybody on the forum was happy, praising Benji and Robbie and asking where are all the Benji detractors now.

DT has sunk to new lows as far as I am concerned.

Sunday was the most disapointing game that I have ever sat through, but I stayed until the end ( I dont know why, but I did) hopefully that is the lowest I will ever feel at a footy match again.

I love the Wests Tigers, come on boy sort it out and start playing footy like you enjoy it again

PLEASE

I think good Ole Tommy has the right idea….

**Tommy Raudonikis demands Wests Tigers hand back pay**
>
FORMER Western Suburbs captain and coach Tommy Raudonikis has called on Wests Tigers players to hand back their pay cheques following the record 50-10 loss to South Sydney at the SCG on Sunday before claiming that his "bloody girlfriend could tackle harder than that".
>
The outspoken Raudonikis was one of several legends to question yesterday the commitment of the players. Balmain greats Ben Elias and Steve Roach joined Raudonikis in dismissing an apology for the performance from captain Robbie Farah and coach Tim Sheens.
>
**"They were a disgrace," Raudonikis said of the Tigers.**
>
"They shouldn't get paid for that effort. They talk about this great professional game of ours and they whinge they're not getting enough money. Well I wouldn't have paid them for that.
>
"All professional footballers do is apologise because they're very good at apologising.
>
"Fifty points in the modern-day era can happen, I have no problem with the 50-odd.
>
"The problem is not having a crack. Not having a go. My bloody girlfriend could have tackled better than that. They were awful."
**No one exemplified the Tigers' disastrous day more than five-eighth Benji Marshall.**
>
Yesterday it emerged Marshall had been fined three weeks ago for arriving late to training. Tigers officials downplayed the incident, saying the New Zealand five-eighth had merely mixed up training times.
>
Yet it will be seized upon by others to illustrate the Tigers' slide into mediocrity.
>
"We don't make public comment about minor in-house disciplinary matters," chief executive Steve Humphreys said.
>
Elias was at the SCG on Sunday and admitted he felt like walking out of the ground with 15 minutes left in the game.
>
**"It was very disappointing," Elias said. "They played yesterday like a side I haven't seen at the Tigers for a long, long time. It was disgraceful. You just don't see that many mistakes in one game."**
>
Roach said he thought the Tigers would have had more fight in them to avoid four consecutive losses.
>
**"I was disappointed with them, I can tell you," Roach said.\
\
I just think they lacked a bit of commitment."**

Doesn't get much clearer........

I have been following Wests Magpies/Tigers now since 1970\. In my opinion all this off-field "days of dreary lives" stuff is not what this club & everyone associated with it r all about!!!! If ur not in this line of work to"BE THE BEST &WIN PREMIERSHIPS" then you should'nt be in it "PERIOD"! fOR "GOD'S sake I cannot for the life of me understand their thoughts? Maybe if all people "employed" in this business which it is were only receiving a working mans paypacket of $40,000-$50,000 p.a then there would't be all this pettty, "namby-pamby" prissy stuff going on!!!!!!!
Get Real or Get Out!!!!

Well this has been a good read.

I will get the scoop from my very reliable source. He plays Group 6 for Camden, I think he ran into Benji at the supermarket once…they are tight.

To all the people blaming the telegraph,it is not there fault our club is being driven into the ground by a past it coach and his side kick, good on the DT for getting it out, maybe it can now be fixed.

Some people lucky enough with the skill and desire get paid mega $$$$$$…to play a sport that 100's of 1000's of people love watching , cheering, comiserating and even sometimes idolising them....

There is one player that is getting picked every week that doesn't have the skill but is still idolized.

I gotta say though, I play sport and I know everyone here has at some stage too. It's normal to hate the other ego's in the team. They're aren't all there because they love each other, it's because they either have the opportunity to or want to play for the Wests Tigers.

All this in fighting and players not getting on would happen at EVERY club. Your telling me 25 players get on at the Dragons? BS, 25 people getting together anywhere in life is extremely unlikely, especially since they're not their to hang out with one another on a voluntary level.

This happens everywhere. It's just funny how we didn't hear this after we beat the Eels or came from behind against the Raiders.

through all this i keep thinking about the line professional.
we kept hearing about this being the new mantra.
the most annoying part during the off season is all the fluff pieces that come out. :brick:

as for the rumblings it is all folkes fault.

Hey everyone.

Due to the sensitivity of this topic we've just gone through and removed a couple of posts that alleged a few things without proper evidence. Please understand that we aren't trying to censor our criticism, but making direct allegations against named individuals without some kind of evidence is putting everyone in very muddy water.

Obviously this is an important topic that people want to discuss, so please keep doing so, but this is a stance that almost all other Rugby League forums adopt to such topics so we hope it will be accepted here.

if you have any questions or if you want to run a post past a mod first before posting then please feel free to PM one of us.

thanks

I think Tommy summed it up best for me on the previous page. I remember in the Lidcombe days he used to tear strips off them behind the goal posts when they weren't performing. I wish we had another like Tommy as todays captain.

Again, I think it comes down to attitude and discipline. I believe Sheens is too soft on the players in this regard. I remember in one of the pre-season article about Folkes coming on board and straight away the players were scared of him because of his no-nonsense attitude he had at the Bulldogs. He turned the air-con and music off in the Tigers gym because he thought the players were too used to having it easy. It took about a month for them to ask him if they could turn the air-con on.

Nathan Brown….pffft....he was a bum at St George and he'd be a bum for us. I'd give it away if he became our coach, the bloke is a nuffy.

IMO benji should be applauded for this, he is being a stand up guy, im prepared for the failure of then next few weeks until this matter is resolved because in the end it will be for the greater benefit of the club
