IMO benji should be applauded for this, he is being a stand up guy, im prepared for the failure of then next few weeks until this matter is resolved because in the end it will be for the greater benefit of the club

Nathan Brown….pffft....he was a bum at St George and he'd be a bum for us. I'd give it away if he became our coach, the bloke is a nuffy.

Very harsh, he has proven in England he's a very good coach.

Should never have coached St George as it was too early for him and he was coaching players he played against only a couple of years earlier.

I think the coaching staff is doing a good jod with the cattle they got to work with, injuries have hurt us again this year. Lets stop writting bad stuff and support the team, how quick you all jump on the band wagon when they start winning

expect some more news on this topic to be revealed in the upcoming RoarCAST episode being released overnight.

Wow, all this cloak and dagger stuff. I agree, if this website is not affiliated with the West Tigers, why can't we print whatever we want? I wouldn't mind knowing whats happening with my team behind closed doors.

What with the 5 internationals and the 4 city/country reps?????

Yeah your right we dont have the cattle, we should all stop being so expectant…..

Thanks Kul

Some very good points, regardless of drama's off the field, these players are professional and they should be putting in and having a go every game.

I think Tommy summed it up best for me on the previous page. I remember in the Lidcombe days he used to tear strips off them behind the goal posts when they weren't performing. I wish we had another like Tommy as todays captain.

This is the first thing the team is missing …............... A GOOD LEADER!!!!

There is no doubt the team could be improved with a couple of big, go-forward props(preferably some of the young blokes from our NYC or State Cup), a good, "real" half-back and a good full-back. However, to be a premiership-winning team, we need A GOOD LEADER!

We already have nuffies in the NRL coaching ranks, so please do not replace them with another.

The more I read about Grant Jones and the more I see of his team, I think we should be grooming this coach for the NRL coach in the future.

I think Marshall would be better off worrying about his football. 13m in attack, 6 tackles, 4 missed tackles and 3 errors for a bloke that earns more than any other bloke on the park is a disgrace. You might be prepared to wear it but I and plenty of others arent, let those off the park sort out their crap and lets just see him play football. He's not paid to be the 'stand up guy' he's paid to play footy and he aint doing that very well at all atm.

Agree 100% about Grant Jones !! If you saw the NYC play their first game under him last season round 1 v Raiders @ Campbelltown you would of been thinking wow what a rag tag bunch these guys are may as well hand them the spoon now cause they are terrible…. 6 months later they were in the Grand Final. If it’s true and Jones only trains them 2 days a week then I am totally impressed with what he gets out of his team, their defence is outstanding (compared to most NYC teams) and to get that with only a few hours training a week is impressive. He always seems to have a game plan and it always seems to be on the money, he has developed quite a lot of outstanding talent for our future... I would definitely consider him for 1st grade.

Well said.

When on the field players should be 100% focused on the task at hand.

What about sticking up for your mates?

Rugby League is only a game afterall… :brick:

I have no problem with sticking up for mates.

But no player has the right to play poor footy because they are upset over an off-field matter.

well perhaps they feel strongly about it.
if the rumours turn out to be true then this all stems back to a the club being forced to shave the salary of a player(s) as a result of the long-service problem reported a few weeks ago in the paper. Again, if the rumours turn out to be true, then certain players (benji) have taken sides over the matter, standing up for their mates and calling for those players mentioned in the Telegraph report to take the cut themselves.
There is no official confirmation of this rumour though, so hopefully the club can come out and confirm it or deny it.

it's a sad situation
