Let me know if anyone has any dramas getting it too work and I'll do my best to help you out. Should come in handy for anyone without Fox and can't get to the game tomorrow night.

Just make sure no one else at home is downloading while its streaming or the servicing might get interrupted. I haven't had any problems with it and it's 1000x better than the xcast streaming.

why would you post it on here, its becoming a common way to watch the game and the NRL will patch it as it gets more popular.

They can't Milky. That's what the VPN is for. There is no way for anyone to know that the stream isn't being watched from overseas. It doesn't appear that it is coming from Aus.

I didn't think we were allowed to discuss this stuff on the open Forum guys

I think you should be discussing this through PM's , I'm not a Mod but I thought this was brought up before

Wasn't this how another Forum got closed down ??

I just pay the fitty a month to get the fox streamed on my net…12 bucks a week for all the footy and the shows seems fair-ish.

Or $85 a season for live streaming through the NRL app. Pretty poor given the low cost options now out. I guess same kind of people that tortured puppies when they were kids.

ILLEGAL.

/thread.

Not exactly

Geo dodging, the act of getting around region blocking, in itself is not illegal.

You might violate the terms and conditions of the site you are accessing but that is not illegal. Just means they could close down your account.

Similar to how people have been accessing Netflix in the states for years, not illegal but Netflix could ban your account if they wanted to, but of course they are making money off you so why would they bother.

This is how I watch games. I'm fairly sure it is illegal though, anything you are getting for free when you are meant to be paying has to be, surely?

As for this site, the stream is great quality and not a single ad. During halftime there's a still camera fixed and you can see the halftime entertainment

Although too many people watching and the stream lags like crazy.

Look I didn't post this to start a ruckus on the forum. If it's wrong, feel free to delete. Everything I have read about it states it is not illegal in any way (I wouldn't have shared it if I knew it was). I just found a free option online and read up on it and shared it here hoping that it might help people who don't have access other ways like myself. Some out there probably love footy as much as the next bloke, but may not be able to afford the prices that fox can dish out. I've also read that the NRL app has plenty of issues, thats when I found the above and after reading it wasn't illegal thought Id share it with others. I was just trying to help people out for gods sake. If people want the details hit me up privately and delete the topic, i don't care. Non issue.

Don't quote me Tigetye , but its not the issue you are discussing it , but the fact that you are giving people the instructions on how to do it

Wait for a Mod to see the thread and they will do what needs to be done , if in fact anything does

It's been a secret for a long time now. I occasionally use it despite having 9 and foxtel so I don't feel like i'm ripping anything off. Comes in handy when my signal is washed out by the weather.

imo as soon as it well known the NRL and its rights holders will be all over it.

Use to be online streams of all the UFC main events and what not…
Shut that down real fast. Lawsuits.

It's piracy...

They're trying to kill off all the torrent sites and I'm sure they're trying to do the same with these streaming sites.

I have Foxtel and I pay for Main Event stuff like boxing & UFC.
I'm a fan, I want to see these events live and legal.

If you don't have Foxtel and want to watch a game without paying...
Go to a pub and get a feed, watch the game, take your Mrs / mates / a date, etc.
Be social... Don't just be a creep and watch a game on your computer, couldn't think of anything lamer.

Thus explains why VIPbox doesn't work anymore

I've edited the post so nothing is there, . Really don't appreciate you're comment Demps. Apparently its "creepy" and "lame" to watch a game of footy online. Get a grip champ, I guess you weren't interested in watching the streamed trial game Demps and anyone who did is a creep right? What a dumb comment.

I'm not gonna head up the pub 5 times to watch the footy, when I can quite happily kick back on the couch and watch it on a weekend. Nothing 'creepy' about that Demps, its exactly the same as you watching your foxtel. I explained my housemates are tight, and I work more than I'm home, so having the ability to chill out and watch a game whenever I can is great and has some appeal. We also only have 4 months left at our rental. I don't want to pay for installation and sign up for a 12month contract with Foxtel. If Fox offered month to month and free installation (which the owners allowed) then sure, I'd happily pay for it if my roommates were willing to chip in to use it too.

I would've happily have paid for the NRL app, but from what I read it was rubbish and had no technical support when issues came up, I didn't bother.

Found a free alternative where all the information pointed that it was legal.

It's not piracy and it's not illegal.
Once the NRL gets with the times and do proper broadcasting through their own app (which isn't full screen) people won't be bothered with other methods.

It is actually provided by the NRL not torrenting. Go to the NRL website and look at their international streaming options. If you live outside Australia it's how they want you to view it.

Also streaming doesn't mean you need to sit at your computer to watch. I have a nice Roku media device hooked up to my TV to watch on.
