Was saying to the wife I was surprised that Kim Wilson didn't seem to make too many appearances during the movie
She was as on /off with Hutchence as Kylie was
Kirk Pengelly would feel absolutely awful now

Would have been better if they went more in-depth about his death. Kinda felt like they could have done more with it, especially the conversation with Geldof

Yeah, those were the days Yoss. I feel for those music lovers not old enough to enjoy the days, when at will you could watch the top bands at pubs all around the suburbs and interstate groups at a few venues. Also, it used to be reasonably easy to get in to a venue even if you were under 18.
Met Michael a few times through a friend. and partied with him one night many years ago. At the time he was preparing for an upcoming movie, Dogs In Space?, I think it was called. He certainly had charisma, but didn't abuse his position, and I found him to be a genuine sort of guy.

I was a massive INXS fan, but it is easy to forget that in the last 3-4 years they had lost their mojo. Michael had lost the plot and they were all living in different countries. I think they were past it by the time he died.
I enjoyed the series, and I think albums like Elegantly Wasted were a bit before their time. The album sounds better to me now then it did the day I bought it.

I was a huge INXS fan and saw them in 1989 at the Entertainment Centre on the Calling All Nations tour. They all came out on skateboards.
Excellent live band.
Great to see their music is topping the album charts again and great to see they are gaining the respect and remembered as one of the great Australian band.
Only AC/DC have had more world wide sucess.
Off to see Bruce Springsteen tomorrow night. Dance floor seats.

Was the last person my mate saw that he knew as I stuck him in a cab after a night out to try and help him with his issues
Had the choice of going to my home with him or going to my GF's place
He got out of the cab (less than 500 metres away ) and jumped off the David Trumpy bridge The 25th anniversary clicked over just recently and I can tell you that despite all things I still blame myself If I'd got in the cab with him I would of gone directly past his home
Makes it worse that his parents have moved directly next door to my parents

ah, i completely forgot about the second part sunday night!! anyone know if there is an encore?
i was 15 in 1987 and was a huge inxs fan as well (loved my kick t shirt with the sleeves cut off!).
interestingly, in the music thread on here recently i rated Kick as one of my top 10 albums ever, and watching the first part made me realise just how great an album it is.
as for suicides, it is the worst possible thing anyone can do imo. and then for yates to do so (heroin overdose on her daughters 10th birthday) was just incomprehensible to me.
regarding them, it is a personal decision people make themselves and i dont think there is any benefit to blaming yourself forever when you had no way to know the consequences of not taking a phone call or whatever.
no offence intended to those unfortunately affected by suicide.
