Exactly. Conservatism has started to become embraced by our staff.
Real footballers know this is wrong. I see an upset playing group.

I was standing behind the field, he kicked at least 2 or 3 torpedo kickoffs, big hang time, like normal. I don't see a clear directive to reign in the kickoffs.
As Geo said, he put a curly one into touch. If we can get back 1-2 kickoffs per game, that is a decent strike rate.

You don't win games consistently by playing negative footy. You need to play positive footy.
