Isaac Moses *Megathread*

I still think the major problems with the whole player contracts situation is that players are not made accountable to what they agree to or sign

I still think the easiest and best solution is this

When the player agent and club meet to sign a contract a representative from the NRL must

1 /be a witness to the contract
2/ explain exactly what the contract is ie $$$'s length any special agreements ...bonuses
3/ The NRL person explains to the player if he gets any extras on top of that contract and he is caught he automatically gets a 2 year ban ...no questions asked

Once you make the player aware of that I'm sure players will think twice about even accepting a brown paper bag ..or winning a golf game

In the end the players don't really care what happens to player agents or the club ......if you can possibly take food off their tables ....make the kids go to public school ...drive around in a 2nd hand car .....that worries them

I actually like that. Cant whinge about restraint of trade or unfairness then. After all, you are signing and NRL contract.

Gees @happy_tiger you’re actually making sense. I might need a brain scan to confirm there is nothing wrong with me.

Well said.

With PVL in charge now he has dealt with many scumbags in the racing industry and giving this guy his comeuppance should not be a problem

what "scumbags" in the racing industry are you referring too ?
The Stewards are appointed in the racing industry to hand out penalties under the rules of racing nothing to do with PVL they are answerable to Racing nsw same as PVL

Maybe the 2008 legislation he had pushed through that meant he could control who was trackside?

It was far bigger than fines and penalties and Racing NSW

that was who could own a racehorse etc or being a participant that cane under the rules of racing which is not racing nsw or PVL it is a national body

NSW betfair. Predates the one you mentioned

betfair is a betting exchange

Said the same thing a few years ago. If you make the players liable for any salary cap rorts and hit them hard if they break the rules, the problem will go away. You can’t have the players trying to shift the blame to the clubs or their managers

That's a shame. Its official. He's gone for good.

If only it were true.

He'll still be here with a front man.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Yeah, agreed unfortunately. Just makes life that little bit harder for him, and will cause cracks to open as he organises his 'fronts'. if the NRL integrity unit continue, they will be easily able to crack through those cracks and smash it all apart.

This guy has been the biggest blight on the game over the last 10 years...has NO integrity whatsoever .all he cares about is his own wallet...

Turdberg wins that award hands down as he was quite happy in letting the situation continue ,Moses would be 2nd though

Good riddance to BAD rubbish!

Any player that has anything to do with him or the people that may FRONT for him should have a real good look at themselves the NRL have weeded him out and he should be dropped like hot potato

It’s just speculation from a random guy on twitter with 0 evidence, you or I could go do the same thing right now. He might be slimy but twitter is full of trolls so I wouldn’t take this serious mate
I can’t believe the NRL sit on their hands and watch this Moses guy ruin clubs
