Hi I have been unable to get access to my original account since we moved to the new forum.

- The forgot password button does not send me an email.
- 3 emails to weststigersforum.com have not been replied. I do get the confirmation a receipt though.
- messaged Kul yesterday and at this stage no reply.

Can anyone please help get my password reset on my original account?

I wont mention the username publicly for security reasons.

Morning everyone.
Overnight I fixed some more of the layout issues and cleaned up the template a bit, I hope it makes the site a little easier to read.

Please keep on noting any bugs that you find so that I can nab them.

For some reason the 'recent topics' list is now only displayed as an inch wide, even when on full screen mode. Makes the home page twice as long and it's harder to read the topics too. I imagine a setting has been accidentally altered somewhere recently


What kind of device are you using?

Desktop with a 30 inch monitor

Its back to normal - roughly 10 or so cm wide . Much easier to read. Thanks mate!

I've gone through the logs this morning.

The site was understandably very busy last night.
At the same time the server was trying to save a snapshot of the database to the hard disk (for backups).
With so much happening all at the same time, the server hit a process limit and dropped about an hour of posts.

So today I've made some changes in the backend:
1. Daily snapshots (backups) will now occur overnight Sydney time so as not run at the same time as a game, or when users are online.
2. I've enabled 1second AOF, which in English means that if anything like this happens again (like a power outage), then the most about of data that will be lost is the last two seconds worth of posts.

@kul I'm guessing at some stage last night between 11pm and 12pm you were doing some maintenance , you could do everything bar type messages ,replies and quotes
