I had no problems, but I do have a problem with the fact that it was not yet integrated into the Check-in APP in time.

Yeah mate, it should pop up with a contact number to call when the error page pops up. Give it a call - you'll be put on hold for a bit but they'll sort it out. Gets linked instantly won't need to wait.

Yep had major issues - finally got it sorted through perseverance. Was refused entry to Big W this morning. What a farce though - i can walk into the mall and 99% of the shops in the mall with just the QR code but get refused entry at Big W which is in the mall.

Yeah I had problems too Medicare had my first name as Greg and My Gov had it as Gregory, it caused all manner of problems. I gave them a call and they had fixed for me in 10 mins

Got my son to do it who is pretty good at that sort of thing and he took for ages. Certainly not a user friendly exercise. Not sure how someone getting on in years who are already struggling with their smart phone would have any chance to do it

It's easy go to the Services Australia website and there is advice on how to do it .. or set up / create a MyGov account, then link it to the Medicare service .. then finally download the Medicare express app and you can get your certificate .. 🙂

Not sure if it’s been responded to , but the easiest fix is ringing them apparently . I gave up and passed it off to my missus , as she is all over navigating the government systems for things like child care , Medicare etc .
It’s a joke really .

If you haven't linked Medicare to your MyGov, or don't have a MyGov acct you'll have trouble... It's complicated

The issue was that I couldn't link Medicare to MyGov it was saying I provided insufficient details. Anyway I finally solved the issue by linking My Health Records instead.

There's a known issue where if people's names don't **exactly** match (first, middle and surname) between the MyGov and Medicare records there's problems 'linking' anything.

Call the support number just before 8AM and an actual human being (novel concept I know) will get it sorted for you in 10 minutes.

Set up a MyGov account for my son so we could link it to the ATO and Medicare so we could do his tax and get his vaccination record and then get the Medicare Express App so he could have his vaccination certificate on his phone.

MyGov was not a problem but spent a whole night trying to link ATO and Medicare with no luck despite having Birth Certificate, details of 3 bank accounts, Tax File number and Medicare cards etc. all at the ready.

The system denied his existence with all the attempts at both ATO and Medicare and of course it locks you out for at least an hour after 3 attempts. Basically then all you can do is try again the next night and after still failing, all you can do is ring up the ATO and Medicare to get a linking code to finally get in.

The first night we called the ATO number and after spending a considerable amount of time on the phone trying to sort it out, the operator was very apologetic because their verification system went down and suggested we call back again the next night.

The following night we got really lucky and managed to get a linking code from the ATO and Medicare and once we got those we were able to do the links straight away.

Hope that the Covid Safe Check in portion of the Service NSW App gets sorted out okay, but it's a total cop out in that they have been working on the link to the vaccination records for months and it was promised to be up and running by 1st October.

Hopefully it will be more successful than the Covid Safe App that the Feds had and in the end was able to capture something like 17 Covid cases in the whole country.

It is complicated, but once you get it all sorted its a great system. Very impressive how all of Govt is integrated on these apps.

Sorted mine out this morning, a little laggy but got it done in 10 minutes.

Same same. Medicare used my middle initial and Mygov did not. Wouldnt link. 10 minutes on the phone and all was solved.

Yep, same issue. The names have to be identical in both systems for them to link automatically.
