It has to end...

Both tries today from sets Brooks did not touch it...

In sets he is involved, he has had over 100 sets in opp 20 this season for zero try assists / not set up a single try / shocking kicking.

His one assist a long range one.

This is an NFL team where a QB can't play...where one man is ruining everyone else's work.

We are actually defending well...our line D much improved...pack marching downfield...forwards 100 plus regularly.

And it is all being undone. Soft hands early on overlap we score...bad kick, they score...these are HUGE momentum swings that would slaughter any team.

For everyone's sake, it has to end.

I don’t think anyone can defend Brooks anymore haha. It’s done ,he can’t see first grade again. Not even a Ron Massey cup standard performance.
It is killing the team.

I hate to single him out...you can carry a bad center...you can carry a useless second rower who gives you one hit up...

But you cannot carry a 7.

They touch the ball too much and others rely on them. They impact everyone too much.

Swap a base NRL 7 like Sean O'Sullivan for Brooks and we would be a decent side.

We just cannot carry him any more. It seriously has to end.

trust me he will be in first grade next week, Sheenius ke t him at the club and left go Hastings it will be egg on his face if he dro s him.. he was beyond bad tonight, i just dont know where we go from here,,,im actually s eechless on his first half it was the worst half of football i have ever seen from a half..if the bloke gets signed again for next year im out, i just kee going through this for much longer with him at our club

The scary thing is Tim will need to step back and say "okay, I got that wrong...Luke needs to go"...

He will need to be like Bennet with Milford and make the change for everyone's sake.

Tim is incredibly stubborn though....

Brooks just had an off game. Very unlike him to make those sorts of errors. He'll be back next week with those areas of his game fine-tuned.
Agreed. He's not used to playing at that latitude - quite a bit further south of the equator than he's used to so a couple of minor mistakes are to be expected. Overall he was close to his usual standard.

I’d hate to say it but what more can we do? Laurie and AD? AD and Wakeham? Laurie and Wakeham? Geez I’m starting to scare myself..
Brooks out would mean others with more touches. EVERY set he controlled we failed to score...all season.

Wakeham had a lovely long cut out pass to AJ...

He also found players in space.

Bateman created...

Api created.

Brooks out means others get more ball...

He has had over 100 sets in opp 20 and produced not a single assist. That is almost impossible to do.

Cue @BAGNF05 to tell us it's literally everyone else in the team's fault because all Brooks needs to do is just pass the ball off and let everyone else do the work (which he can't even do either).

Honestly, it's reaching a point of negligence from the club. He's just so clearly incapable of being an NRL level player. It's aggravating fans and he's subject to insults that he doesn't deserve (criticism of his play is fine, but things go personal in this social media era). The media have to go in on him because he's the highest paid player on the worst team, and quite arguably also the worst player in the league at the same time. Setting up a guy for sure failure.

We should just release him at this point and let him travel abroad, to the country - just something to get away from the sport. He can't be enjoying this and the longer it drags on the worst it will get. This would at least give him some peace of mind and the fans peace of mind. Perhaps lets him find a new passion for the game while he's away and motivation to restart his career in England or something.
