It is over for Taylor

I honestly hope Taylor is finished at the club but i have little faith in mangement sacking him.It is hard to believe but a fact that there is someone in management who wants to give him an extension(1 person from one side of the jv).
I fear for our future if that happens we could quite easily lose our top 2 players because naturally they want to win premierships not wooden spoons

That edge defence is a strategy to rush in. If anyone cant admit that they are kidding themselves. Now their are some poor individual reads as well. However if you don't think it is a coaching issue as well your turning a blind eye.

Eddie, its 100% a coaching tip. Thats what you do when you have 3 imbeciles out wide that cant tackle for xxxx!

Would you prefer they stood back and waited? I think the coach has done what any other would do to negate a weakness. But the other solution is picking some other deadbeat out of reggies and it will be no better, just different names.

Whilst i think Taylor wont be renewed regardless, im not sure what other options there are.

I know our list is average mate.

Taylor should not have been so bullish about it when he came in.

Thats why i go hard at him. He openly dished Potter and Sheens.

Turns out it aint so easy to fix

I said this last year
It works half the time
Teams know they just have to keep plugging away, Brooks, Moses Nof or Kev will come up with air regulalry

Funny thing is, I just looked at JTs previous clubs F/A
Parra last 16 games in 06 they finished +23 8th
Souths 07, +9….7th
Souths 08, - 213...14th
Souths 09, +17...10th

For three and three quarter season he finished ewith his teams scoring more than they conceded...dunno what happened in 08

Three consecutive years here and his teams are in the red F/A

Did the club putting all their eggs in the Broses basket gamble fail, I wonder?

Food for thought

Russell, when you say we will make the eight, can i take it you mean wins.

If you mean 8 wins at the moment i will be overjoyed if we get there. 20 points at the end of the season should mean no spoon

I'm not an advocate for Taylor staying, I am not seeing the improvement from end of last year being brought into this season.

There are some major weaknesses in the side. They need to be plugged urgently with either new signings or promotions. It's going to be pain to promote however, because the ISP team is custard and the young players will also get lapped for a while until they get their experience.

Maybe today wasn't the best day to blood Tatola but I want to see new blood getting a go, sick of seeing the same ineffective players on the field because our options are thin.

There's a lot of blame out there, Jason Taylor and about 13 others.

Also can we first and foremost buy a tackling backrower or lock like ET, because we had Tim Grant today alone doing the dirty constant tackling. We need 2 x 40+ good tackles in our team. Also taking MMc off at 25 was a big mistake, his defence was alright and JLJ had a shocker, his passing was everywhere.

WOW !
after several months away, its interesting to see a whole bunch of people have 180'd their opinions….
took a while but its fare to say, through the "emotion" that was expressed that came across as "hate" - some people could see this happening.

anyways, my 2 cents... its round 3.
yes its ugly... its a place we all hoped we wouldnt be in... but its round 3.
win or lose, no club will punt a coach this early in a season.
its a terrible look and it certainly makes the club look even more armature than it currently is.

all in all though....
the players need to know the direction of the club regarding the coach
thats not to say they have a say ! !
As for the coach himself, ive said all along, who ever it is has to be someone who has either come from a winning culture or has experienced a winning culture annnnnd is a LEADER, MENTOR, and BLOODY GOOD coach.... certainly not someone who has no experience at NRL level... no assistants, no jnr comp coaches ...
As for the roster and who shall come and go and whats going on, on the field... well.... i just believe the right coach in place will work towards all of these deficiencies.
if some have to go, and others brought in..so be it.... !

BUT again, we are in round 3.
contracts need to be signed, players, coaching staff, head office... the whole 9.
in my humble opinion - they have another 9 weeks to get this mess sorted !

I don't care who it is as long as they come in and put everyone on notice. The best players will be picked each week I don't care who you are and how much your paid. No more favourites. This will hopefully see the end of Kev, Lovett, Lawrence and Brooks and start new signings.
We can't go on like this, it's as simple as that. JT is way out of his depth and proved he couldnt coach an Under 10s local team.

Taylor is as good as gone. Player power will prevail.

Unfortunately i agree - they have shown their hand in the last 2 weeks - its ok to have an ordinary side and get pumped as long as they have a go - but when you just don't put in thats unforgivable.

…and that will keep the fossils happy, nice warm and fuzzy
We booted farah....the club cant afford to lose any more locals, they are what the $$$ paying fossil membership base crave...the local boys from Ryde and St Gregs...bugger winning.

3\. No way known Cleary is coming for 'modest money'. To be honest, with this bunch of grunts, i wouldnt either unless you were paying me overs. Dont get what people see in Toovey either, but regardless, he aint cheap either.

I think Toovey would be cheap. He would be itching to coach a NRL side.

Taylor was beat at the press conference

Mentions tough draw, didnt help Panthers/Raiders got towled up then said lucky Melbourne won.

I have been giving him benefit of the doubt however he has things his way, Farah was pushed out and its simple to see we haven't improved on the edge or middle.

The number 1 thing Taylor calls out is defense over last 3yrs and we just aren't improving.

Scary thing is both Penrith & Raiders played terrible yet we still got towled up - the team just isn't putting the hard effort in, Taylor's selections have been terrible and our tatics have cost us.

If this was the apprentice JT would be fired.

Hasler is the only coach available we should target.

He has got to be sacked straight up its enough spin his results are terrible irrespective of the roster issues. Look what GC and Manly did this week.

The competition is up and down so one or two wins and we are back in it. A coaching change to Cleary has to be made quickly. We need to put offers with deadlines on them and go from there. If they all leave so be it.

If we keep getting flogged and JF stays they will sign elsewhere. Club needs to work out whether they are backing the vosch or retaining players.

I dont know what the answer is but its becoming pretty evident that it is not JT.

Some have been saying it for a while but slowly people are starting to see the picture and no one can say the players are busting the gut for this guy that is very apparent , but we have so many players that aren't 1st Grade standard players .

Players are not backing each other up, just awful. The effort put in by the team is just not enough. They have to move up another level. The boys have it in the brain they are just too good, in fact they are second class compared to others.

Considering he went to great lengths to preach defence I have no idea why people want to keep backing him. He has not delivered one bit - our defence is even worse then hen he got here and that was his number 1 mantra.

To get flogged 2 out of the opening 3 rounds is scary. This stuff usually happens later in the year when your banged up or buggered.

Whats the saying about you can fool some of the people most of the time …
