It would be cheaper to pay out Jason Taylors final two years than to get rid of Robbie.

What did JT accuse and threaten Farah with?

He will playing NSW cup if he stays, if Farah was in form he can not possibly play NSW cup, that my friend would be work place discrimination, and any coach who new what he was doing would never have said that.

Why can't he?

Doesn't matter whether he is in form or not.

The coach can play the 17 he wants on the field.
Since when do courts tell coaches who they should be picking in their teams.

Nothing to do with discrimination. He would not be financially worse off as he still gets paid his $1 million a year.

"I don't have a problem with Taylor" he said. That is why he took no part in the half time coaches talk.

Personally bye bye - no NSW cup either, sit on your banana chair mate.

Payten is the best personality fit for the young players.

Kimmorley would make a good first grade assistant.

Kidwell should be left right out.

Griffin's number should be blocked.

The Walker brothers could be an inspired choice given how this team likes to play its football. Id definitely interview them.

Brown would be solid, a low risk choice.

Bring in Todd, im a big fan of the big ball playing prop.. Todd Payten would bring back the attack plus he has coached of the players in the 20's, good fit

1) Overall I was very disappointed to see sheens go.
2) I accepted and moved on, I thought potter had the potential to do well though the board didn't resign him.
3) Jason Taylor no way and never wanted him has coach, the bloke is a boofhead.

Come on Todd if your reading come back.

Wow you used number formatting . Your business acumen must be amazing. Impressive.

Spot on.

Its a very simple case of work place bullying, hasnt been tested in the sporting arena but this could well be the test case.

Its not your usual dropping of a player, its threatening to drop them regardless of form unless they leave the club.

Its enough to cancel Taylors contract at no cost.

Its enough for the NRL to step in and sanction the board.

Dribble dribble

Farah is meeting with the players association tomorrow.

Has taylor told Farah he'll be sweeping driveways? As far as I've seen, he's been told he'll get his money and he'll be PLAYING FOOTBALL in reserves? Not sweeping driveways. Keep trolling though. You got me hooked.

100% right.

Farah's contract will not contain any guarantee of playing first grade. If Tigers pay him and hold a position for him within the organisation, matching the services described in his contract, they will be meeting their end of the deal.

RLPA can jump up and down all they like about workplace bullying, but if the player is not mistreated and the head coach says that he has dropped the player due to form, there will not be any legal grounds for appeal.

Did Sandow go to the RLPA when Arthur dropped him to reserves,,,that wasn't really a form thing as Sandow at times was winning games for Parra..it was cause he came out in the Papers and said he couldn't Coach,,,he was then moved on…

And as much as people want to deny it, form is perceptive. No one can prove JT is lying if he says he doesn't think Farah is in form. If it could be proven, as i said earlier, thousands of players throughout the history of the game could play that card.

You are all missing the point.

It is is not what might or might not happen next year.

It is the act of telling him that he will be playing reserve grade unless he leaves the club. If this is witnessed by Ayoub what happens next year doesnt even come into it.

They would just have to prove it was said.

And if its proven? They can order wests to sack taylor? Make Taylor pick him? Seriously, what the hell do you think they can do?

So Robbie who loves the Club is going to sue cause he was told what might or might not happen if he stays…

The quote from Farah in his original interview was you might have to come and watch me at Henson Park at 12pm on a Saturday

Personally i dont see it as anything more than a bargaining tool being used by Ayoub.

If he plays it right it could be enough to do some damage.

What is your issue mate, youve done nothing but treat this as some sort of personal attack on you.

There is no back flip here.

A couple of pages back this was enough to cancel Taylors contract and for the NRL to sanction the club. Now its just a bargaining chip from Ayoub. Backflip of the highest order.

You really do have some issues dont you.

I still agree it is enough to cancel Taylors contract, it would have to be proven or sworn testimony given to the board or the NRL but there is enough here to do some damage.

My personal opinion on the other hand is that what is going on here is that Ayoub is using it to pressure the club. The club would have to dig in and upset them further for them to even consider taking it to court.

The meeting with the players association tomorrow is an important step in building a case to present the board/ NRL.

By the end of the week this will play out.

Hahaha… Let's go to court.

It will take a year to determine if Farah is an employee or a contractor. Then they would need to determine if his salary is above and beyond that of an everyday employee within the Workplace. This decision will then identify the employee and employers rights before any claim could be made.

Then it would take another year to determine the application and context of 'Form' in relation to a players contract. Followed by discussions about the clubs legal responsibility to operate within the salary cap, and how they can apply that within the workplace.

There is a reason this has never happened before, but nice try to sway the debate in your favor!

Not only that, but he's allowed to tell Farah he'll play reserve grade.

What's the difference between telling him he'll play reserves, versus actually playing him in reserves if he hangs around?

I am just stunned that some of you who all want success at the club defend the coaches right to play Farah in reserve grade regardless of form and even though he is the best hooker in the club. Wise move by the board to back Taylor on that decision - Marina might give us another patronising moment with her son quote, to explain that action. The new CEO cant arrive quick enough and god I hope they understand something about Rugby League.

Love to see Robbie become captain and coach. :smiling_imp:

At least nobody could accuse him of undermining the coach.
