Its time Maguire took ownership of the situation the performance of the team the position on the ladder another season not making a final series ..its not just the players I have been watching this game long enough to know a coach CAN make an average player hold his own .
This is a poorly coached team last night just confirmed it ...the club can spin this any way they like ,brining in a few better quality players will not fix the issue the issue is the coach and he needs to be removed .
His record at the club just reaffirms my views the team has been on a negative downward projective since his appointment ... Its easy to blame the players its time the real blame should be brought to a head !

Bottom line is, would the club extend him at the moment and the answer would have to be an almost totally resounding no.

Taylor was long gone before it got to a similar point.

How oppositions can create a two or three man overlap is the teams weakness.Why cant that be fixed by the coaching staff?

Easy. Take a look at an example of our positioning from last night. This is when Nikorima kicked through for them to score.

Doueihi has run (and turned) in so Nofo is forced to follow. Their fullback could easily have run around and created 3 on 1. Laurie is in no man's land as he had to try and cover the edge. They turned the ball back and he's gone. Our inside defenders have been lazy and left a gap (where they scored).

Nofo, Laurie and Twal are the only ones showing urgency. They only had 12 men but still could have scored out wide because we jammed the middle.

What's really disturbing is they could have also scored on the other edge - we have four defenders not visible and they have six attackers not visible so we were also two down on the other side.

I don't know what the answer is. With Laurie sitting back on the 5th tackle we should still have been able to defend man on man against 12 but instead we're tripping over each other.

Nah, Laurie was pretty well where he should have been, being just behind the ball, having already started to apply the breaks in that shot as Nikorima propped.

I'd prefer to watch a doco on a successful club.

He can coach NZ to beat Australia but can’t seem to do much with the tigers.

He needs the squad to adapt to match his style and is unable to adapt his style to match the squad.
