Nothing would surprise me any more. Quite frankly the sooner the Clearys say what the hell they are going to do one way or another the better because Im getting sick of talking about them. They are not the be all and the end all.

Ivan seems the type of guy to turn his back on the Club he bought him back to the NRL in a heartbeat..would go against the persona he portray's but yeah..

For my part, and I know nothing of the mechanics of any of this, I cannot see Mr Cleary turning away from the Wests Tigers to return to a club that has said goodbye to him once already - in fact, success here long term is motivation alone.

I kind of think that Gus wouldnt make a move as big as this unless he has a back up. Good chance both Clearys knew Hook was gone before he did.
Ivan needs to put this rumour to bed or if he is on his way let it be known so we can get on with it one way or another, with ot without him.

He wants to coach his son. Gus gets to keep his Origin halfback.

I wouldn't bet against it.

Not saying he would but can a coach simply walk out if he gets a better offer?

That would work for me. Plenty good coaches our there.
But really I would be disappointed ….. thought I could judge persons character and that would be a weak act on his part. And he would be letting quite a few players down.

Take it as read Ivan will not go back to Penrith whilst Gould is there, Ivan lost all respect for Gould when he was sacked. Whilst it is an attractive option in the short term Ivan knows first hand how quickly Gus can turn on you. Ivan is slowly but surely building a competitive team at the Wests Tigers and is thoroughly enjoying not having someone like Gus closely scrutinising his coaching methods and team selections!! Ivan to stay.

I'm glad WTs refuse to get sucked into the media agenda. WTs have run a tight ship since JT departed which demonstrates professionalism.

Ivan hates Gus. I'm told there's zero chance of him going back to Penrith. Won't happen.

Gus already has sorted hooks replacement and it ain't ivan.

Gould said from the get go that he thought Cleary was the right man for the Wests Tigers job but it wasnt the right job for him.
Nathan is happy at Penrith, Mrs Cleary has friends there, Ivan will do whats best for his family and if thats Penrith Its quite feasible Gould will get what he wants and all will be forgiven.
