After just hearing on 360 what transpired in the meeting with Penrith, Cleary needs to leave now.

I couldn’t believe what Kent said .. wow !

I’d piss him off immediately!

Never rated Ivan anyway ….

Doesn’t know who his top 17 are ...

Five captains ....lmao

what was said ?

I was a little concerned but all good after Pascoe words to fairgax. He was unquivocal. Nothing more he can unless Cleary requwsts a release. If he does, Pascoe has indicate this woll bw refused. If Cleary tries to coach penrith we seek an injunction. Wont get that far.

Jesus Christ, I don't know what else the CEO can say or do to shut people up.

He was 100% clear that Cleary or his manager have not asked for a release and if either did, it would not be granted. He repeated it twice more during the interview.

What more can be said. I have never seen a clearer response, yet somehow some people see this as pussy footing around or deflecting. You can't be serious. If Cleary just walked out tomorrow and went to Penrith, we would have to sue him for breach of contract. We can't handcuff him and make him stay. Nothing the CEO or anyone could do if it went that far, which I'm sure it wouldn't.

If the coach or any player is approached by someone else, you are doing yourself a disservice but not looking at what is on offer. This is NO different to any other worker in any industry. Because you were approached doesnt make it your fault.

As for Kent's comments about Cleary wanting a move now and it was his request, I think that has been taken way out of context. And I'm not sure I believe everything Kent says anyway.

How do you tell If a Jurno is telling a lie, his lips are moving.
:roll

I am pinning my hopes that Ivan will remain on integrity and the Club will reward him for this as the way I see it he cannot chose to stay under sufferance and then do crap job. As once the Penrith job gets filled it then where does it leave Ivan. Also if he stays then more ammo to get Nathan.

If they don't get IC after all this crap what other coach would want to go there?

Whoever did would be too worried about their job to be able to coach the team to NRL standard

Gus is nothing but a egotistical freak that micro managers people

He doesn't know any better

It's in his DNA

Apparently the offer is massive from the panthers the sad thing is Cleary has not told the board he is staying he is seriously considering the offer to be quiet honest I’m well and truly over this circus about Cleary and his son….

I was saying this months ago. Can’t go one presser without being asked about his son. It’s a circus.

It will be massive because a good part of it will be Nathans. Theyll put Nathan on the books at 800/900k and say he stayed for less to play with his dad.

The deal is already done and Goose Gould The man who'd sell his own Grandmother has stabbed the WEST TIGERS in the back
They say Queenslanders Lie, Cheat, and Steal ?
Gus must be a Queenslander passing himself off as a New South Welsh man

If we do lose Ivan it will set the Tigers back 3 years and what about the playing group which Ivan setup and making the final 8 in 2018
Another year in the wilderness ?
Penrith are set for destruction under Gould the Satin's Reign :smiling_imp:

I believe he has done good things with what he has, but his winning average is still under 50%.
If he wants to go, he must see better opportunity at the Panthers. 1st the Nathan story before Dogs game and now this before Raiders game, is that how a true professional operates?
Get this sorted now, if he goes then so be it; get a replacement and move on.

Pascoe needs to stand his ground, If Ivan leaves, and I think he will, we need to be compensated, by cash and by players. we can get another coach, but we need to strengthen our roster out of all of this fiasco

Explains why he hasn’t been shopping around for players wouldn’t want to strengthen your opposition side would you.

The Donald Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon of Rugby League. Wouldn’t believe him if his tongue was notorised. He was asked flat out a month ago if Griffin would be there in 2019, and he said yes. I remember during Cleary first or second season when Lewis and Jennings were rumoured to be leaving, Gus was interviewed by Fox, and he said “Luke Lewis will be at the club next year. Michael Jennings will be at the club next year”. Neither were. He lies shamelessly. He says whatever what he has to get through an interview. Hopefully Pascoe treats the truth with a bit more respect. His backside is on the line after tonight imo.

We would have sacked Ivan sooner or later anyhow. We've sacked plenty so can't whinge if one wants to quit.

I blame Sheens..

Looking back we should’ve kept Sheens and pissed off Farah and Marshall ….

Sheens was well past his use by date he stayed at the club far too long.A little bit of deja vu as well when Gould tried to sign him we panicked and signed him to an even longer contract which cost us in the long run.

This is more than money now, it's a complete disgrace and lack of respect to us as a club.

well if all this is true Brooks will be rubbing his hands together, he'll get resigned on a pretty penny with no NC blocking his way…
