It's unbelievable at what length Gus went to last night to justify his sacking of Griffin "Ciraldo came to me twice , handing in his resignation " , what a germ.
Griffin said on his interview on 360 that Gus said to him " you'll be shocked at the state of affairs here " referring to when Griffin was about to start his Coaching with the Panthers.
Then Gus said last night " Griffin's mistake was doing that interview on emotion , I'm not gonna sit here and allow him putting my staff down , all the hard work over the last 7 years and any success we've had is because of that not cause Griffin was here " :laughing:

When you are a Super Club, small details like who the coach is don't seem to have much of an impact on recruitment. Players will expect the Broncos to be successful regardless of the coach, and they will be given all the trappings that go along with being a Bronco in Brisbane.
We have trouble attracting big name players at the best of times. Throw this mess into the mix and things become much harder.
Like i have said in a few threads though, i can't see Penrith putting a coach on pre-order for 2021\. And all to tie up Nathan Cleary? They're just trying to pressure us into releasing Cleary without the demand for compensation. I hope we are smarter than to fall for that.

1\. Is it the end of the world if we let Cleary go and get heavily compensated(2 players of choice and decent $$)?

I don't understand the second question, what are you trying to get at there? I like Brooks, but in five years time he may decide to move on and he would have my thanks. Clearys if they both came here for five years (not bloody likely) is a good stint so wouldn't begrudge them leaving then either.
